Shortly afterwards,@@@@
Captain Mirza summoned everyone. The Beast Tamers gathered in line again, and everyone's face filled with expectation and nervousness.
Everyone wanted to get into a strong team, so they hoped that the team arrangements would be good.
Captain Mirza said, "I'm going to announce the name list for 5-member teams. The first 5 teams are going to be battle-ready."
"The rest of the teams are going to be on standby," she added.
After saying that, she started to announce the names. One by one, the Beast Tamers cheered because the teams were balanced.
About 10 minutes later,
The five battle-ready teams were now known.
Not all the 3rd and 4th years were on the same teams. The weakest team had 2nd-year Beast Tamers to lead, who was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer; the rest of them were Tier-1 Beast Tamers.
Similarly,
The strongest team was led by the Tier-4 Beast Tamer, while the rest of them were Tier-3 Beast Tamers.
"Brother Jeremy, you are on the 5th team. The bottom team. I thought you would be under seniors," Daniel said with anger.
"There must be something going on," Betsy added.
Jeremy's mouth curved into an arc. He could somewhat guess the intentions of the Captain. The Captain selected him because of Commander Harris.
If he wasn't in the main team, then there would certainly be questions. More importantly, nobody had seen his strength.
It was better to prove himself with actions.
A few minutes later,
The backup team was announced. Betsy and Daniel were in the backup team. They weren't going to face the battle directly.
When all the teams were announced, Captain Mirza asked the battle-ready team to stay and others to go back to their tents.
All kinds of bird and beast cries could be heard.
"You guys can handle Tier-1 Corrupted Beasts. I will take care of the Tier-2 ones," Norton said.
Hearing that, everyone agreed. Jeremy nodded his head as well. The atmosphere was different and charged.
Nothing could prepare anyone for this moment. He could see sandstorms coming toward them, but he knew it wasn't sandstorms.
Maybe the Corrupted Beasts were already coming toward them.
Meanwhile,
The department instructors were watching the front line with solemn expressions on their faces. They didn't know how many of them would survive.
On the other hand, Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone were outside of the tent. They were trying to look at the front line, which was located half a mile away from their camps.
In between, they could see Beast Tamers and lifeline beasts standing in large numbers.
The Beast Tamers at the front were mostly Tier-1 Beast Tamers. They formed a first line of defense made up of humans and lifeline beasts.
The next strongest team was standing behind them. If any strong beast got past them, they would kill it.
Blood drained from people's faces, especially the standby teams and others who were watching from their tents.
Meanwhile,
The Corrupted Tier-1 Beasts started rushing forward. They were under the command of higher-tier beasts. Their movements caused tremors on the ground.
On the other hand, the three city governors were watching the scene from mid-air. They were the top powerhouses of City A.
They were looking for Tier-6 and above Corrupted Beasts. So far, none of them had appeared. If such beasts did appear, they would take action to kill them.
If there were no high-tier beasts, then the rest of the lower-tier beasts would flee. The current invasion could then be stopped.
Inside City A, businesses and shops were closed. Families were staying at home. Everyone was watching the live broadcast. If an emergency situation occurred, they would go to their bunkers to hide.
The locals and shop owners had bunkers built in their own homes. Even the big organizations had their own safe spots to hide.
In Central University 14, Dean Carolyn was watching the live broadcast as well. Like others, she was also looking for Tier-6 and above Corrupted Beasts. If confirmed, the war could be ended.
