Chapter 55: Scyther and the Surprise Hatching!

Elekid spun its arms excitedly, creating a bright glow that lit up the surrounding area. "Pika?" Pikachu tilted its head curiously, watching Elekid with wide eyes. "What's happening?" Misty asked, shielding her eyes from the glow. "Elekid's too excited... is it evolving?" May gasped, clutching the container holding her Pokémon egg. "No way! Could this be it? Is Elekid really evolving?" Ash nodded, his expression calm but excited. "Elekid already reached the level it needs to evolve—level 30. It just needed to be happy and confident in itself. After solving its issues, it seems like the time has finally come!" Elekid's glow intensified until its entire body was engulfed in light. Moments later, its small frame expanded and changed shape. When the light faded, Elekid had transformed into an Electabuzz, now resembling a tiger with sleek, yellow fur marked by bold black stripes and plug-like horns on its head. "Buzz!" the newly evolved Electabuzz exclaimed, flexing its arms. "Wow, Ash! Elekid evolved so quickly!" May exclaimed, admiration clear in her voice. Misty nodded, her eyes bright with amazement. "Electabuzz looks so strong now!" As if on cue, the Pokémon eggs that Misty and May were carrying began to glow softly. "Buzz..." Electabuzz tilted its head, its electrical energy seemingly affecting the eggs. "Misty, May! Your eggs are about to hatch!" Brock said excitedly. "Quick, take them out of their containers!" The girls hurriedly removed their eggs, holding them carefully as they began to shake and crack. "This is so exciting! Both eggs are hatching at the same time!" May said, her voice trembling with anticipation. "Yes!" Misty agreed, cradling her blue egg gently. "I can't believe this is finally happening!" The eggs cracked open bit by bit, radiating bright light. Everyone watched, barely breathing as new lives prepared to emerge. Pikachu and Electabuzz leaned in closer, their eyes glued to the scene. The first to hatch was May's egg, revealing a super cute Pokémon. It was a small fox-like creature with soft, yellowish-brown fur, a fluffy cream-colored collar, and a bushy tail tipped in white. "Eevee!" the Pokémon cried softly, looking up at May with wide, trusting eyes. "An Eevee! I got an Eevee! It's so adorable!" May exclaimed, her heart practically melting at the sight. She picked up the tiny Pokémon, who nuzzled her hand affectionately. Meanwhile, Misty's egg cracked open fully, revealing a small, white Water-type Pokémon with a rounded body, a pair of flippers, and a small horn on its head. "A Seel! It really is a Water-type Pokémon!" Misty said, her face lighting up with joy. "I've wanted one for so long. Now I have my very own Seel!" Both Pokémon blinked up at their new trainers, forming an immediate bond. Brock clapped his hands together. "Congratulations, both of you! Eevee and Seel are amazing Pokémon. Misty, Seel thrives in cold environments, and May, Eevee has the potential to evolve into so many different forms!" Ash grinned. "You two are so lucky! Eevee's really rare, and Seel isn't easy to find either. You've both got incredible new partners!" The girls quickly captured their new Pokémon, though there was no resistance—Eevee and Seel already felt deeply connected to their trainers. Misty cuddled Seel, her voice soft and affectionate. "I can't wait to train with you. We're going to have so much fun together!" May held Eevee close, stroking its soft fur. "You're going to be such a star, Eevee! I can't wait to show you off in Pokémon Contests!" Pikachu cheered from Ash's shoulder, and Electabuzz let out a happy growl. Brock smiled warmly, though a small sigh escaped his lips. "It seems like everyone's catching new Pokémon or evolving them... At least my Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp. That's my consolation, I suppose..." Ash placed a reassuring hand on his friend's shoulder. "Not quite, Brock! Don't forget about that Scyther you helped earlier. It's been following us this whole time!" Everyone turned to see a Scyther emerging from the tall grass nearby. The bug-type Pokémon approached Brock with a soft growl, its sharp blades gleaming in the sunlight. "It must really like you, Brock!" May said, smiling at the sight. Misty nudged him playfully. "What are you waiting for? Scyther's amazing! Go ahead and ask it to join your team!" Brock crouched down to Scyther's level. "Scyther, would you like to travel with me? I'd be honored to have you as a partner." Scyther nodded firmly, a spark of determination in its eyes. "Alright then! Let's make it official!" Brock said, throwing a Pokéball. Scyther didn't resist and was easily caught. "Woohoo! Brock finally caught a new Pokémon!" Misty cheered. May clapped her hands. "Scyther's a fantastic addition to your team. I can't wait to see how it does in battle!" Brock's face lit up with joy as he released Scyther from its Pokéball. The Pokémon gave a confident cry, clearly happy with its new trainer. Ash chuckled. "Looks like today's been a great day for all of us. New evolutions, hatches, and captures—our team just keeps getting stronger!" The group shared a moment of celebration, their Pokémon joining in with cries of excitement and happiness.
