Chapter 41: Pikachu Learns Volt Tackle!

"Hehe, as usual, we're following those twerps, and we've found another good spot!" Under a large tree outside the farm, Team Rocket's trio appeared—the ever-present assist team! Jessie, munching on a rice ball, mumbled with her mouth full. "That's right! This farm belongs to Pokémon caretakers, which means it's not just filled with Pokémon, but with Pokémon eggs they're raising!" James added, also eating a rice ball. "Ah, I get it, meow! What we need to do is take Pikachu and all the Pokémon and eggs from this farm to give to the Boss!" Meowth said, munching on a rice ball as well. The three of them exchanged looks and simultaneously exclaimed, "Promotion to executives! Board members! That would be awesome!" "Alright, let's start the plan now!" Meowth reached for another rice ball, only to find they were all gone. "Huh? Where are all the rice balls, meow? Jessie, James, that's too much!" Meowth exclaimed. "What? I only had two myself!" Jessie retorted. "I only had two as well! Meowth, don't tell me you ate our share and are now playing innocent?" James accused. The three turned to Wobbuffet, who had been sitting beside them, his mouth stuffed with rice balls. He had eaten them all! The next moment, a loud yelp echoed under the tree... After dinner, everyone helped with the Pokémon eggs in the nursery. "Thank you all so much. The eggs are now all taken care of. Next up is the egg that's about to hatch. I've put it in a separate incubator. Let's go check it out together," Christopher said. Just then, a loud explosion erupted from the nursery they had just left. "Oh great. I used my Aura to make sure Team Rocket wasn't following us this time," Ash sighed, realizing he was wrong. It had to be Team Rocket. Under his Aura's range of 2,000 meters, he confirmed it was them! Meowth's voice echoed from the robot. "Team Rocket! Not again! Give back Christopher's Pokémon eggs!" Brock shouted, reaching for his Poké Ball to stop Meowth. "Don't! Using force might break the eggs inside the robot!" Misty and May stopped Brock and then turned to Nicolette. "Nicolette, this is your time to shine! Didn't you have a Vileplume? Have it use Stun Spore to paralyze Team Rocket!" "Vileplume, go! Use Stun Spore and stop those guys!" Nicolette commanded. Meowth, piloting the robot, was already connected to the hot air balloon Jessie and James were on, ready to escape. "That's right! If you don't want the eggs to break, you'd better let us go!" Jessie taunted. "Meowth, are we ready? Let's get out of here; this is going to be so great!" James added. "Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet echoed James' gesture and tone from the hot air balloon. At that moment, Stun Spore rained down, followed by Vileplume's Petal Dance! Jessie and James were completely paralyzed! The hot air balloon shook, and the egg-stealing robot connected to it started shaking as well. The eggs placed on either side of the robot all began to fall out and dropped from their containers due to the intense shaking! Ash was stunned—it hadn't gone this way in the original storyline! "Squirtle! Use Bubble Beam to cushion the eggs on the ground!" May quickly thought of a plan. Squirtle blew bubbles, and the eggs landed gently on them, eventually coming to rest on the grass, safe and sound. "Pikachu! Use Quick Attack on Team Rocket's robot, then follow up with Thunderbolt!" With the eggs safe, Ash had Pikachu "finish them off." "Pika!" Pikachu dashed forward, charging up for Thunderbolt, but an unexpected surge of electricity enveloped his body during the Quick Attack. Ash's heart skipped a beat.
