After his laughter subsided, he said, "Granny is getting more and more like a greedy little cat as she ages. Alright, come to the company now." Using a phone while driving could easily lead to an accident if one wasn’t careful. He would rather have a proper chat with her later than talk while she was driving. KNOCK KNOCK. Just as the call ended, there was a knock at the door. One of Glades Horne’s secretaries, Layla Perez, gently pushed open the door to the office, taking two steps in before stopping. The secretary was a bit surprised but quickly turned and followed him. She assumed he was going to meet the visitor in the VIP Room. Little did she know. The five men waiting before the secretary’s desk were led by Jonathan Allen, the head of the T City Mafia Society. At thirty-five years old, he was short and unimpressive in appearance. However, he was ruthless and brutal, a feared and ruthless figure. Seeing Glades Horne emerge, Jonathan Allen hurriedly put on a smile and stepped forward, calling out, "Young Master Horne, did you want to see me?" Glades Horne didn’t break stride, walking past him toward the elevator. His deep voice reached Jonathan Allen’s ears, "Someone named Brother Long has made a bit of a mistake. How did he manage to cross the young master of the Horne family?" The man nodded and, as they walked toward the elevator, made a call to Brother Long. Downstairs, in front of the company building, Glades Horne’s two bodyguards saw him descending and quickly moved to greet him. However, Glades Horne waved them off, preventing them from following. He walked out of the office building alone, heading towards the company entrance. He then stood at the doorway, waiting. This left his two bodyguards utterly bewildered. Who on earth could make their Young Master Horne stand outside and wait? A moment later, Jonathan Allen also came downstairs with his men. When he saw Glades Horne patiently standing at the entrance of the Valence Group’s building, waiting for someone, curiosity spread across his face. He couldn’t help but pause to see what was happening. Soon after, a Twitter car approached. A Twitter car? Yes, one of those that could be bought for just a few tens of thousands. The onlookers’ eyes nearly popped out of their sockets from curiosity. Surely not? CEO Horne was waiting for someone driving such an inexpensive Twitter car? Seeing Julia Bluen arrive in a Twitter car, Glades Horne showed no surprise, just a slight smile. He opened the car door and gestured for Julia Bluen to move to the passenger seat. Then he got into the driver’s seat, closed the door, and drove away. He didn’t care how many jaws dropped in his wake. The car his wife drove was the car he would ride. Even if it were a tractor, he would sit in it without a second thought. "I thought you wouldn’t want to ride in this kind of car," Julia Bluen said from the passenger seat, turning her head to look at Glades Horne with a playful smile. A brief silence fell inside the car, so profound that Julia could hear both her own and Glades Horne’s heartbeats. For a moment, she felt slightly suffocated. She wished to act as naturally as before, but she found it somewhat challenging. Glades Horne’s tall frame, even when seated, always exuded an imposing presence, subtly pressuring those around him. "Is there anything special you want?" Glades Horne abruptly asked in a deep tone. "I haven’t given you a wedding present yet. If there’s anything specific you desire, tell me, and I will try my best to fulfill it." Julia turned her head to look at him, then faced forward and said with a smile, "No need. You’ve already given me far too much." He had given her a dowry of astonishing value. What more could she possibly want? He had already provided her with everything one could desire. Glades Horne’s lips tightened again. The truth was, what he most wanted to give her was a happy life; he wanted to spoil her rotten. Both materially and spiritually. Overly sweet words weren’t appropriate for him at the moment, nor would he say them.
