Glades," Adele cried out, her head hot with anger, unable to think clearly, "this is the good wife you've married! This is how she treats your only sister!" All she knew was that Julia's sarcasm was grating. I can't lose to Julia! I can't give her the chance to mock me! Adele took a large step towards Julia. Glades, thinking she intended to hit Julia, moved like lightning, instantly shielding his wife. Adele felt even more jealous.
