The portal swirled tighter. Its glow dimmed. "Shit!" Grey yelled. His mana was down to a flicker. The bird's beak vanished. The gap was closing. "One second left," Noir whispered. "Here goes nothing!" Grey yelled, launching himself from the bird. He summoned a final burst of wind with the last of his mana, flinging himself forward.
