Is this it? Neraxis thought with a hum, looking at a plot of land. Their flight could've been significantly shortened had Liza used her space magic abilities. However, that might've been a waste—if he got there before his constructs, he'd be lacking a lot of power. There was also one thing he had noticed over the course of the past two weeks. The protectors have definitely banded together, and unlike the last two times, they're going to attack me all at once. Whether he could handle that or not, he wasn't sure. But one thing was certain. It will fall soon." Fiora shrugged. "Or did you already forget what we're supposed to be doing here?" "Shut up," Liza shot back with a glare. "I can't even have a bit of fun? Look at yourself... You look haggard, you don't even clean your hair that's stained with blood. At least look presentable." Fiora's eyes narrowed. "What does any of this have to do with my appearance? I go around helping Neraxis kill people—what do you expect me to do, comb my hair every morning before a massacre?" "Calm down, you two." Neraxis sighed. "Don't go at each other's throats just yet. Wait until we're done with this, and none of us are going to see each other anyway. Just do the job and get out." "That's what I've been trying to tell her," Fiora grumbled. "But every single day of these past two weeks, she's going on and on about random stuff just to make her guilt disappear." "I'm not!" Liza snapped. "I just hate how we're always silent all the time, not saying anything, killing these innocent people, and then going about our days like nothing happened!" "Fine, do you want me to fucking buy dinner for the both of you then?" Neraxis asked with furrowed brows. "Clean yourselves up—I can sense a hot spring nearby." The last time he ate something was around four days ago. As for these girls? He tried to at least give them one meal a day, so it was a surprise they were complaining. Nonetheless, the two girls happily walked over to a nearby hot spring, and he did the same. But it was more so to soak in the water, as the dried blood and everything could be removed with {Aura of the Abyss}. "Want some help?" a soft voice rang out behind him, belonging to Evangeline. "Sure... just none of that today," Neraxis replied as he moved over, just in time for Evangeline to get into the hot spring. He hadn't been paying much attention to her aside from the occasional chat or two, so it was only natural she wanted to insert herself here. "You must be hungry," Evangeline pointed out with a worried look, before slipping on a dimensional ring and swiftly pulling out some cookies. "Here, I saved some for you." Neraxis turned to her with a chuckle, and, after taking a moment to admire her beautiful nude body, he accepted the cookies. He wasn't in the mood for any sex today—or the past week, for that matter. "Do you want to see that cute outfit I bought?" Evangeline asked softly, and he immediately nodded. A smile appeared on her face. "Turn around, I want it to be a surprise." "Sure." Neraxis turned his head away in anticipation. Just seeing her nude was already enough to make him happy, but with a cute outfit? Say less. "Okay, you can look now," Evangeline said, excited. Neraxis turned to her, his eyes widening. She was wearing a tight black dress—a stark contrast to his expectations. Evangeline teased him a lot, so he was expecting some sexy nightgown, but that was not the case at all. "It looks so good on you," Neraxis praised, looking her over. "You really do look good in anything—with or without clothes." "I know," Evangeline replied smugly. "But that's not all..." Neraxis put on a new pair of clothes and went toward the girls, who had already finished washing up a few minutes ago. They looked squeaky clean this time, and he could actually find them somewhat attractive now. But in the end, these two were just people he'd forget right after this was finished. Therefore, he merely approached with a smile and handed the two a face mask. It was one made by the Obscura's assassin, Sarah, so it was foolproof. "This is...?" Liza asked, inspecting the mask and Fiora did the same. "Just put it on—we're going to grab lunch. I saw multiple posters with our faces on them, so let's just conceal ourselves for now," Neraxis explained, before putting on a mask of his own. It was a plain mask, with a brown wig, blue contact lenses, and, of course, freckles. He was basically unrecognizable now, and the same went for the other two. Nonetheless, he glanced at the map and soon noticed a town which wasn't too far away—only a few kilometers. "Let's go north. There's a small town there," Neraxis said, earning a nod from the two. Soon they began walking, and after nearly half an hour, they finally arrived. However, there was one thing a bit off about the town. Are they serious...?
