Chapter 195: Need stronger spells

Back in Balon City. After all of the spawns were killed by the armoured creature that came out from the second crack, no other beasts attacked them, so the mages began to reorganise themselves from the ruins of the battle.They went about collecting the bodies of mages that had died during the fight and waiting for what would happen next. After all, the two cracks were still up in the sky; the battle was certainly not over yet. "Mr Chen isn’t in the City, what should we do?" William came to Julius and reported. Julius, Ellie, and the Dean of the Dragonic Magic Academy were standing together and watching the aftermath of the battle. They were in charge of passing orders to the mages to reorganise. "Hmm, and that armoured creature has disappeared as well." The Dean of Dragonic Magic Academy said in a deep tone. Everyone’s expression turned heavy; they instantly knew that Alex must have led the creature away from the city and was most likely battling it right now. After all, the creature was able to kill thousands of undying demons with a single word, Mr Chen must have led it away to avoid implicating the City in their clash. "What should we do now?" Ellie asked after some time. "There’s nothing we can do," Julius voiced out. He gazed at the two cracks in the sky before adding, "Let’s wait for Mr Chen to return, while hoping for the best." At the hospital, the sounds of fighting had stopped and the ground wasn’t trembling anymore. Everyone thought that the battle was over. "Is it over? Let’s go look for Alex!" Freda said worriedly. Many mages have been brought in for treatment and their conditions were enough to cause any parent to panic since their child was involved in such a battle. "Let’s wait, it probably isn’t over yet." Zoran stopped his wife from rushing out. Although there were no more sounds of a battle going on, the two cracks were still in the sky and not all of the mages had returned yet. Besides, if it were all over, Alex would have come to them already. While Zoran was reassuring his wife that people were looking after Alex, Alicia was silently trembling in her seat. Her entire body shuddered every few seconds because she could sense it; she was the only one who could sense the fight going on between Alex and whatever creature had appeared from the second crack. Their clash made her feel suffocated, she would certainly die if she participated in such a fight! ’M-monsters!’ Hundreds of thousands of miles away from Balon City. Boom! A gigantic lightning bolt struck down from the sky and landed on a half-collapsed mountain after the Void knight dodged it with frightening speed. The mountain instantly exploded and a gigantic pit that was hundreds of meters wide took its place. The Void knight appeared at another location and was instantly met with another ferocious lightning bolt. This time, it was unable to dodge and slashed with its slim sword. BAM! The sword and the lightning bolt met with a deafening sound, the Void knight sliced the lightning bolt into two parts that flew in different directions. BOOM! BOOM! The two lightning bolts created two scorched pits on the ground after they landed. Just after cutting the lightning bolt, five more lightning bolts appeared again and shot toward the Void knight like snakes. Their speed was so fast that they seemed blurry. The Void knight didn’t give up and waved its sword, it slashed three in a split second and dodged one by shifting its body, but it was unable to dodge the fifth one which landed on the chest of its armour. BAM! The sound echoed for thousands of miles as the body of the Void knight shot down from the sky like a meteorite and crashed into the ground like a bomb. Boom! The earth screamed as dust rose dozens of meters into the air, crackers spread for kilometres as a massive crater restructured the mountain range that had long turned into a great canyon. After the Void knight crashed into the ground, Alex appeared in the air above the great canyon. His entire body was covered in purple lightning and his eyes flashed with lightning as he drifted in the air. He had used the Domain of the Lightning Emperor spell, which was a Grand Archmage rank spell; it was the strongest lightning spell in his possession right now. An area of several kilometres had become Alex’s lightning domain after he used this spell and he was able to do whatever he wanted within this range. Alex stared down at the great canyon that was covered in dust. He could see that the Void knight had already gotten back up and was hovering inside the dust cloud; the creature wasn’t hurt in the slightest, even though Alex had been going all out with his attacks, and not even its armour was scratched. He really needed to craft some Saint rank spells. "Tell me about the system, how do you know it?" Alex asked in a cold tone, his voice reverberating like lightning. The Void knight somehow knew about the system and even said that there was another system somewhere, Alex wanted to make it speak. Maybe he could learn how to fix the system from it, not that he was really interested in fixing it, though, since it would just restore all the restrictions of the system that had been damaged after it crashed. Swoooosh! The Void knight flew out from the dust cloud and hovered at the same height as Alex, its vertical eyes gazing deeply at him. "The system is the origin of the universe and also the reward for those chosen by the will of the universe, two is an abomination!" It said before shooting toward Alex again. But Alex was prepared. His entire body scattered into many sparks of lightning before reforming several hundred meters away. At the same time, several lightning bolts struck the Void knight and sent it toward the ground again. Alex was secretly glad that he had brought the Void knight away from the city, a battle of this magnitude would have long destroyed Balon City and killed everyone. His eyes then landed on the Void knight that was flying toward him again and he couldn’t help but feel a headache. Although he was able to thrash the creature around, his spells weren’t powerful enough to harm it. He had even tried the strongest spell of the space element, Existence Zero. The spell was supposed to be a delete button for whichever target it was used on and directly erase any traces of their existence, it was a higher version of space cut. But this damned Void knight had simply cut through space and returned after Alex made it disappear! BAM! Another lightning bolt struck the Void knight and sent it flying again. This was the best that Alex could do since he couldn’t hurt the creature; he couldn’t afford to let it get close to him. That slim sword would definitely slice through him if he got careless. "Just what are you? Why don’t you go look for the other system user and get rid of them?" Alex asked in annoyance. The Void knight gave a response that they were the guardians of the origin of the universe from which the system was made, their duty was to protect the origin and get rid of any anomalies that might cause harm to it. Alex "..." There are more of you?!
