Chapter 37: 037 "What is the solution?" Tristan asked, waiting for her to talk. He had believed her words as she never said something except she really meant it. Nita hesitated before she spoke up, she hadn’t been considering what she was about to say but it was a good opportunity to help him out of his sadness. "A birthday party is happening this weekend, at one of the guys’ houses. We were both invited and I initially turned them down but what if we attend together? We would drink, dance and do whatever we wanted there" Nita explained. "How is that going to help me?" Tristan asked as he was already rejecting her idea. "If we go, you would meet different people and have a little fun. It would lift your spirit. We can dance all night and get drunk" Nita continued in an excited voice but Tristan grimaced as she continued to explain and he imagined doing all that. "And maybe you will meet another Alpha that is worthy of you and that douchebag would let you go. You know I do not like him at all. He looks mean and heartless, the only good thing about him are his looks!" Nita continued, not ready to give up. Tristan couldn’t believe she was saying all that and his face broke into a smile as he watched her realising he had missed her a lot in the past few days. "Alright, I would go but I will not do all that you listed." Tristan replied and she beamed at him as she had finally convinced him. Even if both of them really hated noisy places and parties. But she was willing to endure it for him and vice versa. Nita and Tristan walked to the cafeteria for lunch after Tristan told her he hadn’t eaten since morning. The first person Tristan noticed was Trevor. The only Alpha in his class that doesn’t treat him badly or make sexual innuendos like the rest of the Alphas. Trevor also smelled Tristan’s scent immediately he walked in and his eyes searched for him from among the crowd until their eyes met and Tristan looked away immediately. He has always been shy and unsure in front of Trevor even if they have never really talked to each other before except for pleasantries. "I think we should go back" Tristan whispered to Nita as she walked to pick plates for both of them. "Why? You said you were hungry". "I have just changed m— The rest of the words were lost at the back of his throat as someone knocked into from behind and the impact of the collision made him fall forward while hitting his head on the shelf that held all the plates and cutleries. "Tristan!" Nita yelled in shock and bent to help him while other students burst into laughter from the sight of him on the floor. "You fucking stinking Omega, if you do not have any business here then move out of the damn way" The Alpha that had bumped into him spat angrily. "How can you say that after you knocked him to the ground!" Nita yelled angrily. "Do you want me to teach you a lesson too?!" The Alpha yelled and raised his hand to hit her but his hand was suddenly held back. "Who the hell is that?!" He yelled as he struggled out of the iron grip. Everyone around turned to see Trevor hold back the hand of the famous bully. His cry for help was satisfying for his past victim to watch and Tristan picked himself off the ground while Nita helped him to fix his clothes. Their eyes remained in Trevor and the bully as he was publicly disgraced in front of his mates and other students. Trevor effortlessly defeated him and had his face pressed to the ground in no time. Tristan watched in awe and Trevor looked at him for a split second, his blue eyes smiling at his surprise. The fight was reported and one of the student council came to take them both away, returning sanity back to the cafeteria. Tristan was in shock on how everything escalated but Nita was always a step ahead when it’s come to thinking. "I’m sure his father would sort it out in under one second, so don’t think too much about it." Nita said she does he nodded but her mouth widened in horror in the next second. "What is it?" Tristan asked as he was scared by her shock expression. "You have a lump the size of an egg on your forehead" she replied slowly and Tristan touched his forehead and was surprised to feel the huge lump. It wasn’t painful to touch but he hated the thought of it being on his forehead. They went to have their meal and while they were almost done, Trevor returned but with an ice pack. He dropped it on their table and Tristan looked up at him in surprise. His captivating eyes made him forget about what he wanted to say. "That looks nasty, put this on it" He said while pointing to the ice pack and that drove Tristan out of the daze and he looked at the ice pack before nodding rapidly. Trevor left them and went to a seat farther away but paid close attention to them. "I think he likes you," Nita whispered excitedly to Tristan. He blushed immediately she said that but he hid his face and turned to his food. "You have been saying that since our freshman year" Tristan replied and paid little attention to teasing but he could not deny the way he always felt around the Alpha. They finished and walked to the entrance of the school with their hands intertwined. Trevor trailed behind them as he watched out for the other student he had fought with. Tristan and Nita were unaware of his presence behind them. "Are you done for the day?" Gale asked from the car but Tristan ignored him and continued walking away with Nita to the nearest bus station. But Gale panicked and went after him, he was a step from stopping them when Trevor stepped in and blocked his view from them. "Who are you?" Trevor asked and Gale, for the second time in a single day was dumbfounded and could not respond to a question.
