If this [Attractor of Thunder] were a concept-level title, it would be a bit absurd.
Things at the concept level are never weak; the phrase "The River of Time is indeed a river" once shook the young heart of Lin Li.
Could the system have mistaken the big thunder I mentioned while discussing with Bai Bufan as actual thunder?
Then how would this title’s attraction and affinity towards thunder-type individuals manifest?
Well done, system.
However, after pondering for a moment, Lin Li’s bubble of imagination burst.
Not all the girls in the class are flat, but I don’t have any perception of them. At most, when I get close, I can barely sense the electronic watch on my wrist.
Surely you can’t just terminate the thunder status for not being big enough, right?
Oh, Yu Yu probably has some sort of tiny electronic device, like an electronic watch, on her chest, right?
After all, if something is indeed hidden in such a big thing, you wouldn’t really be able to see it.
Even though Yu Yu doesn’t have any necklace string around her neck.
Without any conclusions, Lin Li retracted his gaze, knowing full well that if he continued to stare, he would be categorized as Bai Bufan.
Returning to his seat, Lin Li, after confirming no teacher was around, took out his phone.
Upon noticing this, Bai Bufan first sat up straight to block Lin Li from view as much as possible, then glanced over to see what Lin Li was doing.
Minesweeper.
?
Are you kidding me? All this fuss just to take out your phone and play Minesweeper in class?
If you want to play Minesweeper, why not just play on the multimedia table at the podium?
"Are you sick?" Bai Bufan said, exasperated, slumping back and losing interest in covering for Lin Li.
Someone playing on their phone and getting caught deserves it.
Lin Li also put away his phone.
Unfortunately, further confirmation showed that the [Attractor of Thunder] is probably not an absolute concept-level title—because when playing Minesweeper, I couldn’t discern which cells were the mines.
Having some perception, Lin Li turned his head again, and sure enough, Yu Yu was rummaging through her belongings in the classroom cabinet.
And once again, Yu Yu turned her head and made eye contact with Lin Li.
"Lin Li... is there something wrong?" she initiated, gathering her courage as her character was always relatively introverted.
Can I confirm your thunder?
How can you say such a thing?
"Nothing."
Lin Li shook his head and chose to remove the [Attractor of Thunder] title.
...
Afternoon.
The last class on Thursday is a math class, but it’s not scheduled on the timetable; it’s deliberately swapped by Xue Jian.
And with almost seamless connection to the previous class, after consciously speeding up, the class content was covered with more than ten minutes still remaining.
"Alright, everyone come up and take your phones, first group come forward." After assigning holiday homework and passing down a test paper, Xue Jian took out the storage pouch.
The classroom was already entering the noisy phase of the Autumn outing.
"Our bus will depart at 5:40, so let’s set our meeting time at 5:30. Everyone manage your time, don’t delay the schedule for everyone because of one person. One minute per person, for a class of forty, that’s forty minutes."
Xue Jian took the opportunity to emphasize this.
We’re going to play in the downtown area, so starting tomorrow morning would indeed waste time. According to the plan, we will leave tonight and spend the night in the Pingjiang City District.
Being a key public school, we do have some resources, plus the large group offers bargaining power. This trip involves staying two nights away for the Autumn outing, including play activities, all for just 340.
It’s impeccable in terms of cost-effectiveness.
Class 4 doesn’t really have any impoverished students, and this 340 isn’t a burden for any family in Class 4. In Chen Yu Ying’s efforts, virtually everyone is participating.
"Though it’s been stressed before, I still need to say it again, when playing outside, always pay attention to safety. During non-free activity times, if anyone wants to leave the main group, whether out of boredom or feeling unwell and wanting to rest, you must report to your dorm leader. I have to approve it first.
Anyone found not adhering, whether or not something happens, will receive a disciplinary record once back at school..."
For high school students with phones, safety is still relatively assured, but Xue Jian persistently emphasizes it.
Because should anything happen, even if unrelated to the school, it would have a significant impact.
Everyone responded with laughter and chatter.
"Even during free activity time, when going out, someone must accompany you.
However, I must emphasize here that freedom is limited. In places where you’re forbidden from entering, like massage parlors, foot massage shops, SPA centers, you must never enter. If found, it’s a major offense! A huge offense! No, direct expulsion!"
Xue Jian stressed this point heavily.
Most of the class was puzzled, as what Xue Jian seemed to emphasize all seemed to be the same thing, and his emphasis seemed inexplicable.
Who would do such a thing?
Meanwhile, Lin Li and Bai Bufan, in unison, gazed out the window, whistling.
——After all, Xue Jian looked directly at the corner where they were sitting when he said that, leaving no subtlety.
This was outrageous, Lin Li complained inwardly.
Making it seem as though only he and Bai Bufan from the class would go to such places.
Clearly, Xue Jian, you have gone too.
Besides, this concern really is unnecessary.
Lin Li’s respected mentor is merely Xiling’s patron of the red-light district, still having no knowledge of Pingjiang’s brothels, even if I wanted to go, there’s no way.
"Alright, there’s no need for the last self-study class, you can all go back to your dorms to pack or go eat." Having emphasized a few more points, once the phones were distributed, Xue Jian waved them off.
The classroom crowd dispersed in a clamor.
Lin Li also needed to go home to change clothes—Nansang didn’t require wearing school uniforms for the autumn outing.
Wearing those tacky school uniforms for a trip would indeed be pretty silly.
...
After having dinner outside and changing into his own clothes, Lin Li rode his bike back to school.
A few buses were already parked at the school gate, and groups of students were gathering around.
After all, several classes had chosen a route plan similar to Chen Yu Ying’s.
Lin Li found the crowd of his own class.
Because it was still early after class, just past five, the bus drivers probably hadn’t arrived yet; the bus doors behind were still closed.
The buses were quite tall. At first glance, Lin Li thought they were the 50-60 capacity buses, but upon getting closer, he found out it was just 45 seats.
Inside was a rare 3+2 seating arrangement, with a spacious interior, and it seemed like there was a luggage area below too, so luggage could be stored there instead of being squeezed next to the seats.
Pretty luxurious, definitely more comfortable than a regular bus.
Lin Li would rate this bus 88, which is a full score, after all, the remaining 12 points are in the hands of the traffic police.
Once again, Lin Li marveled at the incredible cost-effectiveness of the 340-dollar trip.
Lin Li, as agreed, handed his backpack directly to Zhang Haoyang—it contained the gaming console he had promised earlier, anyway, Lin Li wasn’t planning to play games.
As for the two sets of clothes in the backpack, he let him hold onto them too.
As for the things to pass the time on the bus, he had downloaded the real treasure on his phone.
Then, seeing Bai Bufan and the others with bulging backpacks, Lin Li curiously asked, "What did you all bring?"
"I’ve got all snacks in here, everyone will have something to eat tonight." Zhou Baowei patted his backpack, and a plastic rustling sound came from inside.
"I brought something really good." Bai Bufan seemed more mischievous, as he carefully opened his backpack to show Lin Li what was inside.
Snowflakes.
"Tonight, everyone can have a little drink." Bai Bufan raised an eyebrow.
Lin Li looked disgusted.
He couldn’t drink beer.
Not that he couldn’t handle alcohol; he just thought beer tasted terrible.
Pure liquor wasn’t to his liking either; Lin Li preferred cocktails with a mix of fruit juice to dilute the alcohol flavor.
"I brought Uno, aeroplane chess, Three Kingdoms Kill — plenty of board games for everyone." Wang Ze patted his own backpack.
"I brought my love for Yao Qiaoqiao, something for everyone to envy." Chen Tianming lovingly caressed his backpack, and after speaking, immediately took out his phone to check it, visibly disappointed, then eagerly continued to type.
How did a weirdo sneak in here?
Lin Li slightly turned aside.
He saw a sea of green chat logs.
It was Chen Tianming’s self-esteem overflowing.
He looked over at Bai Bufan and the others—what’s up with this idiot?
Bai Bufan gloomily shook his head: "You’ll get used to it, he’s beyond saving now, had similar symptoms even before getting a phone, you weren’t in our dorm, so you didn’t feel it, now that he has a phone, the symptoms fully erupted."
Then Bai Bufan squinted at Lin Li, who hadn’t brought anything else with him, no luggage either: "Lin Li, what did you bring?"
Lin Li pointed to his backpack on Zhang Haoyang’s back, sincerely saying: "I brought everyone."
After all, who will eat, drink, play, and envy without them?
Bai Bufan shook his head as if he expected this, then sighed, "Lin Li, do you know the most important thing when going out into the world?"
Lin Li: "It’s ’heading out’."
"It’s loyalty... eh? Cough! Cough!" Bai Bufan was caught off guard by Lin Li’s answer, choking on his words. After recovering, he waved his hand in resignation, "We really didn’t assign you any tasks; just bringing everyone is enough."
Even if Lin Li just eats and drinks from them the whole way, nobody would mind.
"Lin Li."
Hearing his name, Lin Li turned around.
The setting sun shone through the treetops, falling on Chen Yu Ying, who was wearing a white long dress. The snug fit highlighted her well-proportioned figure, and the skirt hem danced lightly in the wind. Usually letting her hair hang loose, today it was styled in a high ponytail using a blue ribbon, swaying with her steps, exuding youthful energy.
The pure and beautiful moment was revealed.
"Class president, this set looks really nice." Lin Li never holds back his compliments.
"Thank you, you look nice today too." Chen Yu Ying gradually started accepting Lin Li’s praises, though her voice was still a bit lower.
"I matched it specially, there’s an even cooler set." Lin Li accepted the compliment graciously.
"Lin Li... I just... greeted you too..." A resentful voice suddenly appeared beside Chen Yu Ying.
"Ding Sihan? When did you get here?" Lin Li was startled to see the source of the voice, how did she appear out of nowhere?
Ding Sihan: "..."
She smiled.
What do you mean when did I get here?
I’ve been beside Yu Ying from the start, walked with her, and even followed her to call your name!
You only have eyes for Yu Ying, huh!
Just wait, you jerk, I’ll whisper bad things about you tonight!
If I fail to sway you, I’ll write my name backward from now on!
Ding Sihan gritted her teeth while continuing to smile.
