In the private room, the server’s attitude changed instantly upon seeing her unable to pay. "Miss, are you trying to dine and dash?" Daisy Stone shook her head in denial, "No, my friend will be back soon to help pay!" Saying this, she was about to go find Samuel Grant and Clara Bennett. Samuel paused, nervously said, "I was just about to head back with Clara." William glanced at him lightly, his tone flat, "If there’s nothing more, return sooner and don’t wander aimlessly." "Yes." Samuel responded dutifully. Daisy hurried forward, eyes full of expectation, "Mr. Foster, hello! Do you still remember me?" "I remember, last time Samuel brought you to meet me, asking me to help find you a job." William said nonchalantly, "Clara, Samuel does care about his friend." William’s voice was deep, and when he said "Clara," it sounded particularly tender. Daisy’s face changed, she hurriedly explained. "Mr. Foster, Samuel was only so enthusiastic because of Clara..." Samuel nodded in agreement, "Yes, Uncle, please don’t misunderstand, affecting my relationship with Clara." "Why are you both so anxious to explain? I didn’t say anything, did I?" Her heartbeat lost its rhythm. Being this close, she could even smell the faint woody scent on him. "I haven’t forgotten, Mr. Foster. It’s just that I still need time to get used to this title." William’s eyes narrowed slightly, the interest within them growing stronger, "Seems you’ve discovered the story between my good nephew and your good friend." The rumor outside was that Clara loved Samuel endlessly. But in reality, it wasn’t so exaggerated. "Yes!" Clara admitted openly, surprised, "How did you know?"
