That’d be way too fast..." Sean frowned as he analyzed the situation. "But if it wasn’t Lilian and some other woman instead... doesn’t that mean there’s zero hope for them now?" He honestly felt a bit disappointed. Lilian was a good girl—sweet, decent, and frankly miles better than those flashy drama queens out there. Sean had already gotten used to the idea of his boss being with Lilian. The thought of Morrison ending up with someone else just didn’t sit right with him anymore. Norton didn’t say anything more. He turned and headed into his office to prep for the upcoming meeting. Sean followed, leaning casually against the doorway with a mischievous grin. "So, tell me—was your future sister-in-law that wild last night? Couldn’t even get out of bed this morning, huh?" Norton shot him a glare. "Get lost." Sean laughed. "When are you finally going to bring my future sister-in-law home to meet Mom?" Norton’s expression changed instantly. "You didn’t. Tell me you didn’t tell Mom I had a girlfriend." Sean shrugged, utterly unbothered. "Of course I told her. It’s great news! Why wouldn’t I share it with the parents? They were thrilled!" Norton was fuming, looking around for something to throw at him. "You’re a grown man—why are you gossiping like a housewife?!" "We’re not even official yet! What the hell did you tell them for?" He hadn’t told his parents about Yuki yet—not because he didn’t mean it. In fact, if she agreed to marry him, he’d propose in a heartbeat. But he wasn’t sure about her. He wasn’t her first love, nor the one she had long admired. He didn’t know if she truly had the courage and conviction to spend the rest of her life with him. "Maybe if you brought a girlfriend home for once, they’d be even happier." Then he was gone. Sean stood frozen, trying to process what he’d just heard. "Broke up? But weren’t they just together last night?!" They had just returned from visiting their parents over the weekend. Yesterday afternoon, Norton had gone to see Yuki. Sean had assumed they’d spent a romantic night together. Break up? What the hell happened? He rushed forward, blocking Norton’s path. "You guys were fine last night—what the hell happened?" Norton stopped, face dark with frustration. "This morning." With that, he walked straight into Morrison’s office, leaving Sean behind with his organs practically rearranged from the shock.
