"I need to go back before my mom starts worrying." Morrison finally let her go, reluctantly but understanding. At Tiffany’s, Lilian found the dinner Tiffany had prepared for her. After a shower and fresh clothes, she sat down to eat. Daniel wasn’t home, so it was just mother and daughter. After asking about her days in a.t and the heavy rain on the way back, Tiffany got straight to the point. "I heard from Laurent that you have a new boyfriend? Who is he?" Lilian had expected this question. She smiled and admitted, "Yes, I do." "As for who—" Though Lilian had bravely told Morrison she’d go public when discovered, she didn’t feel ready to tell her mother just yet. So she dodged a little, "I’ll bring him home for you to meet in a few days. For now, it’s a secret." What she’d said to Morrison earlier had come in a moment of passion. Now, calm again, she felt nervous but determined. She planned to talk things over properly with Morrison and find the right time to introduce him to her parents. Tiffany frowned. "If you tell me, I can help protect you better."
