"What’s the big deal, didn’t you also add Lu Lin on WeChat?" Zhou Yuwen retorted.
Chang Hao chuckled and said, "That’s different, I’ve added her but haven’t even spoken two sentences with Lu Lin,"
"Yuwen, you’re different, you’re handsome and rich, which girl wouldn’t like you? I’d like you too if I were them," Chang Hao chatted casually with Zhou Yuwen.
He even asked Zhou Yuwen which girl he was interested in.
Zhou Yuwen said, "What if I’m interested in Zheng Yanyan, would you allow that?"
"Yuwen, you’re joking again."
It seemed Chang Hao was intentionally joking with Zhou Yuwen, leaving Li Qiang completely out of the conversation.
When Li Qiang heard about Lu Lin adding Zhou Yuwen’s contact information, he was indeed stunned, but hearing Chang Hao’s words afterward made Li Qiang feel deflated.
Chang Hao was right, Zhou Yuwen was handsome and could make money. If Lu Lin really liked him, it would be natural. What ability did he have to compete with Zhou Yuwen?
Zhou Yuwen and Chang Hao were different. Chang Hao actually seemed a bit showy with his money in the dormitory, occasionally hurting Li Qiang’s pride.
But at those times, Li Qiang would think.
What’s so great about you?
If it weren’t for being able to be reborn, you’d be nothing.
But Zhou Yuwen was different; at least he didn’t rely on his family. He earned his own money through his abilities.
And many times, the way Zhou Yuwen handled things really didn’t leave room for criticism. It was very comfortable to be around him, but not so with Chang Hao.
For example, when they went to bathe together and Li Qiang was a bit slow, Zhou Yuwen and the others would get dressed and wait outside. Chang Hao would always impatiently say, "Why are you so slow, Yuwen, let’s just go ahead."
"Wait a bit, there’s no rush."
Zhou Yuwen didn’t specifically try to help Li Qiang, but he always managed to consider him.
So, when he heard that Lu Lin was pursuing Zhou Yuwen.
Li Qiang felt a sense of powerlessness. He initially wanted to say something, but he didn’t have the energy to speak.
Later, when going to the sink to place the dishes, Li Qiang was still unable to step out of that mood.
Zhou Yuwen was also annoyed by Lu Lin’s pestering. They had known each other in a different setting. Had they met in a KTV, Zhou Yuwen would have blocked her long ago.
Late into the night,
Lu Lin sent another message to Zhou Yuwen:
"Give me two thousand yuan a month, and I’ll be your girlfriend, but it won’t affect you finding other girlfriends."
Zhou Yuwen laughed out loud when he saw this message and thought to himself, then why would I need you?
Just as he was about to reply, he suddenly understood what Lu Lin meant.
He was somewhat speechless, thinking that this Lu Lin was a bit too scary.
He simply ignored her.
This time, Zhou Yuwen truly ignored her.
Later on, Lu Lin sent a few more question marks to Zhou Yuwen.
Zhou Yuwen indeed did not utter a single word.
He told Li Qiang about Lu Lin asking him for money, partly to clear his own name so that Li Qiang wouldn’t misunderstand his intentions, and partly to stop Lu Lin from pestering him.
Upon hearing the news, Li Qiang was naturally eager to start chatting with Lu Lin.
In mid-September, the weather had cooled down a bit, but the sky was still clear.
In the middle of the day, Zheng Yanyan and a few other girls from her dormitory were playing cards in their dorm, surrounded by green trees. Gathered in black or white camisoles and flaunting their long legs while competing as landlords added a unique flavor to the scene.
Lu Lin was still in her camouflage uniform, with her collar unbuttoned, revealing a black tube top covering her modest bust, which wasn’t completely flat, having something at least.
She liked to lean on the balcony and smoke, under the bright blue sky above her.
At that moment, her phone buzzed.
It was a message from Li Qiang.
"What are you up to? (grinning with teeth bared)"
Lu Lin felt a bit disappointed. Even though Zhou Yuwen had ignored her for three days, she still held out hope, having heard from people on the forum that Zhou Yuwen had made over a hundred thousand from the campus card, though she wasn’t sure if it was true.
