"Zhou Yuwen?"
Just as Zhou Yuwen had sat down, a girl recognized him.
Zhou Yuwen looked up and realized it was an old acquaintance, "Oh, it’s you, Chen Wan, senior?"
Chen Wan pursed her lips and glanced at Zheng Yanyan next to him before asking, "Are you out for a walk with your girlfriend?"
"Yeah," Zhou Yuwen nodded slightly.
Getting Zhou Yuwen’s confirmation, Zheng Yanyan felt a bit delighted. She now somewhat resembled the image of a well-behaved and sensible girlfriend, quietly asking while holding Zhou Yuwen’s hand, "Who’s that?"
"Oh, let me introduce you, this is Senior Chen Wan."
"Hello, I’m the vice president of the student council, Chen Wan. I watched you dance just now, several guys here were totally mesmerized by it." Despite not being able to flaunt her pride in front of Zhou Yuwen—after all, aside from the student council, she was also Zhou Yuwen’s sub-agent—she maintained a natural and friendly demeanor as an upperclassman in front of other students.
"Student council?" Zheng Yanyan found the self-introduction novel and didn’t hesitate to shake the hand that was offered. Freshman students would feel a bit of respect upon hearing this title; Yanyan’s respect wasn’t that profound, but what she wondered was how Zhou Yuwen had managed to build such connections?
"Hello, President Chen," Zheng Yanyan was quite adept in socializing, too.
Chen Wan couldn’t help but laugh after hearing the address, "Don’t be so formal, you can call me senior or Wan sister. You’ve taken dance lessons before, right?"
"Mhm, a little," Zheng Yanyan replied.
She took a seat next to Zhou Yuwen and struck up a conversation with Chen Wan, who noted that the most exciting performances of the evening were theirs.
Tao Tian, as a junior and head of the arts department, possessed a demeanor quite different from the average female college student, showing a somewhat aloof personality. Standing at 170 cm, she and Yanyan seemed quite evenly matched. However, Tao Tian appeared to have a larger frame, and although one might consider her voluptuous, her body was well-proportioned with a slender waist and long legs.
She was wearing a blue hoodie combined with black yoga pants—back then, the term "yoga pants" wasn’t in use, they were just tight black leggings—and over the leggings, she wore a pair of white crew socks.
While Chen Wan had already turned the conversation towards her, she pretended as if she hadn’t heard a thing.
Yanyan was curious and said, "Isn’t joining the arts department supposed to involve a selection process?"
Chen Wan smiled at the question but remained silent.
Then Tao Tian spoke up, "Indeed, joining does require a selection, but you’re an acceptable candidate. With a foundation in dance, you can be given special admission."
"Oh, I see." In front of others, Yanyan maintained basic politeness and didn’t act too arrogantly.
With Chen Wan facilitating, this sort of affair could almost be considered settled.
Chen Wan joked, "Head Tao, I consider this a talent brought to the arts department by me. Yanyan, aren’t you going to toast your Head Tao?"
Yanyan thought it was indeed good to join the arts department early; she could at least boast a little when she got back to the dorm. You see, Shen Yu and Su Qing had been discussing club memberships these past few days.
Su Qing was advising Shen Yu on which department to join for better opportunities and resources at school.
Although Yanyan looked down upon these things, if Su Qing and Shen Yu were bustling about trying to join a department, and she could just walk up and say, "I’ve been specially recruited,"
Wouldn’t that be the perfect boast?
