Chapter 11 - 10 – Sewers.

The sewers and the rats… They were an annoying combinations. The sewer rats don't possess much power behind their attacks, but they can inflict annoying poison. That isn't problem for me, since I'm undead I have a natural resistance to the poison. I have both [Poison Resistance (Weak)] and increased natural defense against poison. Simply put, the rats poison literally can't deal any damage to me… I wasn't expecting that? But the problem are my monsters. Especially rabbits. They are far stronger that the rats, even though they are the same level, but because they need to fight at close range, they can get easily poisoned by the rats and that is very bad. The rats poison does some damage, but the problem is duration. Its bit long. Not only that, the rabbits were being hit over and over… To the point that just having them out is just… Hindrance. The best way to deal with those rats is long range attacks…I can kill them with the crossbow…. But I can't fuking use my poison magic! They seem to have a natural defense against poison like me! I can still deal damage… But barely anything. So, yea… I also have my skeletons… Who are not good and the summons…. It will be very annoying. Honestly, I wouldn't mind just giving up the quest, since it would probably take me a LONG time to deal with it… But here is the problem. [Sewer Rats Poison Organ] [Rarity: Common] [A special organ that was developed by the sewer rats that allows the rats to produce a poison that cowers their fangs and claws.] The first material containing the poison I found was indeed a drop item you can get from those rats. Now I have no choice but to hunt here IF I want the necessary materials for my alchemy and plague experiments. Not only that, those rats tail I got from the rats seem to be quiet useless item. I don't know if it usually that many monsters here, or was it because nobody wanted to clear that quest, but these rats are everywhere! So, I needed a power up…. And I kind of had no choice but to use all of my points into the [Necromancy]. [Summoner] was an option as well, but according to the posts made online, the necromancer have some attack skills and I need them, since my other attack skills are poison so yea… Fuck. Well, I did get some attack skills. However, the rats were still problematic. There was just straight up too many of them. I honestly already finished the quest already, but the reason why I stayed behind is simple. I need more materials from the rats and I mean like a LOT of I want to lock myself away for my research and all. The higher level rats that appeared deeper in the sewers weren't much challenge, but they were not giving as much as EXP as the big evil rabbits. However, their numbers did made up for it. In the end, I managed to secure 93 sewer rats poison organs. Jezus! Take care of these sewers you bastards NPCs! This is your city in the first place! Honestly, I already have a lot of these sewer rats' tail to complete the quest 3 times over. However, the problem is still with sewer rats poison organs. I don't know how many I will use in my alchemy research and then plague research. So, I maybe be forced to come back here and hunt more of these rats. But for now, I had no choice but to go back. I ran out of the potions and other stuff. Fuck me. I only recently repaired my equipment but it's almost broken again! I think I really need to made my own equipment, since NOW I know how shitty this equipment I'm currently using is! So, I went to the city barracks in order to give those tails to complete the quest. "Oh? FINALY!" – said a soldier. "Somebody fuking finally did that sewer rats quest!" – said the soldier NPC. "…. Wait… So, nobody was really doing that?!" – asked Phantasia. "Yea! This place smell is too much for everybody and not only that, the poison and the diseases those rats have are extremely dangerous!" – said the soldier. "The city guards cannot risk that kind of danger, since we are needed to defend the city in case of emergency, so that why the quest was posted for the adventures." "But…. None of them completed it." "Well, do you wonder WHY?" – said annoyed Phantasia. "This smell in unbearable! Not only that, that poison can easily kill people! My tamed monsters who are much stronger that those rats couldn't handle that freaking poison." "So its not only annoying because of the smell, but because of the poison." "If I wasn't an undead zombie, I would have probably died long time ago!" "Yea… Anyway, you are here with the tails, right? Here is the promised money." "First of all, let me thank you to for dealing with some of those rats. And as for your question…" "Honestly, this quest was supposed to be a onetime only…. But considering the current situation with rats, I don't think it's a bad idea to give you the quest regarding another extermination of those rats." "But unfortunately, I would have to double the required number of tails to make is somewhat look fair and not look like "Favoritism" or something." "So, do you want to do it?" – asked orc. "Yeb." "Great." [Sewer Rat Extermination – Part 2] [Bring 60 sewer rats' tails.] [Reward: 15 Silver coins / EXP] "Well, I hope- " "Ah, I already did that." – said Phantasia. "…What?" "I killed 93 rats while I was in the sewers. I have 60 tails to complete he quest." "…." "Did you just…" "No." – said Phantasia. "Do you have ANY fuking idea how many of those rats are sewers!?" (The developers stated that the NPCs or a specific actions can cause a quest to appear, so does that mean that the NPCs have a way to create quests?) [Favorability] [This is something like a private stat, a connection between a player and specific NPC or a group or organization.] [It can be both negative and positive.] (Huh…. Would I…. Nah….)
