Originally, Kosso was better suited to using giant hammers or spiked clubs. But to increase his lethality against low-level troops, Li De had personally ordered Valen to forge these two massive blades. Kosso became even more dangerous in battle after equipping sharp-edged weapons. Craig Shadowhunter, the Level 16 Wolfman, could only maneuver around and engage from the flanks to keep the massive Kosso distracted. A head-on confrontation was entirely out of the question. The racial talent of the Cyclops far surpassed that of the Beastmen. These massive beings may have sacrificed some agility, but their strength was beyond what ordinary-sized creatures could even hope to match. Kosso’s casual swings could unleash over ten tons of force. At full power, that force could soar into the dozens of tons, enough to cleave mountains and split stone. This led to a situation that made Craig seethe with frustration, his attacks were nearly useless against Kosso. He simply couldn’t break through the several-dozen-centimeter-thick heavy armor. But all Kosso needed was one hit, and Craig would suffer fatal injuries. There was never fairness in war. The armor forged at the cost of 100,000 Gold Pucks wasn’t something a ‘poor bastard’ like Craig, wielding a basic dwarven-forged weapon, could ever compete with. It wasn’t just a racial advantage, it was Dawn City’s absolute gear supremacy over the Beastmen tribes. Behind Kosso stood Li De, the Lord of Dawn, who possessed limitless wealth and an inexhaustible supply of resources. Behind Craig stood the impoverished Lionmane Tribe, too poor to even feed their own people, surviving only through hunting. If not for the Beastmen’s physically superior bodies compared to Humans, and the fact that the Barren Plains held no real resources worth coveting, the Beastmen might have fallen into an even more miserable state. Above the battlefield, magic continued to radiate its overwhelming might. The range of the red cloud was still expanding. Kosso had already charged into the Meteor Firestorm’s area of effect, gleefully hacking down the fleeing Beastmen. Countless fireballs, radiating deadly energy, ravaged the land. What had once been a ten-thousand-strong Beastman army had now been completely scattered. No one knew how many were dead, but corpses littered the earth. Thick smoke blanketed the land. The scythe of Death reaped lives without mercy. Under the watchful presence of the two iron behemoths, the spellcasters once again used the power of war-dominating magic to proclaim their nobility and might to the world. --- “Patriarch Rabio, there’s a battle happening outside! Has our reinforcements arrived?!” Masi Brutehammer burst into the small room, gazing at Rabio Brutehammer, King of the Dwarves, who gripped the window bars tightly and stared out toward the red magic cloud spreading across the distant sky. Rabio’s eyes were filled with a barely-contained excitement that outsiders couldn’t imagine. Gritting his teeth, he turned his head sharply. “It must be the reinforcements Master Valen brought!! Masi, send a few of our people who’ve broken free of their shackles to scout the situation. Also, monitor the movement of the Beastman army. If it really is our reinforcements, we join the battle immediately!!” Though his desire for revenge against the damned Beastmen was overwhelming, Rabio kept his calm. He hadn’t received any secret message, so he couldn’t be certain the force fighting the Beastmen was actually a dwarven reinforcement army. “If it’s not our reinforcements, we won’t get involved in this war. I’ll lead the clan to escape through the hidden passage. Masi, go get all our people ready.” Regardless of whether it was the dwarves’ reinforcements or not, the war outside had definitely drawn a large portion of the Beastman forces away. This was the best opportunity for the Dwarves to throw off their shackles. Rabio didn’t want to wait another second. No one can enslave Dwarves! Once he escaped, there would come a day when these damned Beastmen would feel the full wrath of the Dwarves. “Yes,” Masi replied, heart pounding with excitement as he turned to leave. Less than a minute after Masi left, the Beastmen intensified their control over the Dwarves. But Rabio didn’t care. His deep eyes, hidden beneath a thick black beard, stared unblinkingly at the increasingly massive red cloud in the sky. And at the enormous magical beast soaring beneath the red cloud. What kind of force could command such a terrifying beast? Rabio clenched his fists tightly. He was waiting, for his people. The shame of enslavement would be washed away with blood!!! --- Boom~ Betty’s greatsword, impossibly sharp, radiated a light filled with unstoppable power as she slashed directly at Kap Lionmane. The Beastman King nimbly dodged the savage strike. The sword instead cleaved clean through a massive tree that would’ve taken five people holding hands to encircle. Rumble~ As the giant tree toppled, it crushed a smaller one beside it, scattering wood chips and dirt. Kap didn’t counterattack, instead, he swung his long blade fiercely toward the charging Grote. Pale golden light shimmered along the blade, deadly and dangerous. Grote, greatsword in hand, had no intention of dodging. The sword, glowing with Extreme Will, was equally terrifying. Wound for wound, the brave triumph in narrow paths. Kap’s aura was bold and unstoppable. As a Level 18 warrior and king of the Beastman tribes, he radiated absolute confidence and dominance. And the Northern warriors, knew no fear. Even against a Dragon, they would charge without hesitation. As the foremost among the Three Great Warrior Tribes of Glory, they never took a step back from the enemy. Schlik~ Blood sprayed. Grote’s shoulder was slashed open by the icy blade, a deep wound that cut to the bone. At the same time, Grote’s greatsword carved a brutal gash into Kap’s chest, flesh torn and blood flowing. As the two passed each other, Kap twisted his body unnaturally, like a spring winding tight and suddenly releasing, slamming a wildly powerful kick into Grote’s back. The Northern warrior’s body shot through the air at terrifying speed, crashing through three giant trees as thick as men’s embraces before slamming into the ground, carving a ten-blade-long bloody trench. A one-for-one exchange: Grote severely injured, Kap lightly wounded. The Beastman King, this was his terrifying power.
