But inside, her thoughts were far from peaceful. She sighed quietly. "Another normal day," she muttered. The head bodyguard glanced at her in the rearview mirror. "Are you feeling unwell, young mistress?" "No," the girl replied. "Just... tired." The woman nodded but didn’t say anything else. She knew better than to push. The muscular figure froze mid-charge, his arms wide like he was about to tackle her into the clouds. With a single step, the girl shifted to the side, graceful, efficient, and clearly experienced. She tapped the bracelet again. Time snapped back to normal. Her brother, still in full sprint, rocketed past her and stumbled into a patch of flowers with a dramatic yell. "Waaagh—!" He fell face-first into the ground, arms out like he was hugging the dirt. The guards said nothing. One of them coughed quietly into her glove. The girl calmly walked up the steps, not even glancing back. A muffled groan came from the flowerbed. Then—"I was going to give you a hug..." "I don’t need to be launched into the sky, brother," she said dryly. "You don’t understand!" he called out from the ground. "I haven’t seen you all day!" "You saw me this morning." "That was hours ago!" "You were asleep on the floor with a dumbbell in your hand." "I WAS GUARDING THE MANSION WITH MY BICEPS!" The girl finally turned and gave him a tired look. He was still half-buried in flowers. "I’m going inside," she said. Her brother sprang to his feet instantly—zero damage. "Wait! Let me walk with you!" "Only if you don’t try to pick me up." He pouted. This six-foot-five, muscle-packed beast of a man... pouted. "Fine." The two of them walked up the steps together. The girl walked like a dancer, and her brother stomped like a rhino, but somehow, the balance worked. Inside the mansion, everything was quiet. Cool air brushed through the halls. Staff bowed as they passed, eyes low, respectful. The girl walked with a calmness that said she had done this a thousand times. But her thoughts were still full. There was school. There was pressure. There was... him. But for now, she pushed those thoughts away. Her brother strolled at her side, still going on about the next-gen enhancer formula he was testing—and his plans to retrofit his gym into a restricted-access armory ’just in case things got interesting’. She didn’t argue. She didn’t complain. She just listened. Because even though he was loud... Even though he was a walking disaster in tank tops... He was still her older brother.
