Chapter 37 - We Have A Big Day Tomorrow Ethan yawned softly, rubbing the back of his neck as he pushed open the door to his bedroom. The day had been long, filled with non-stop training, sparring sessions, and pushing his limits with the system's new upgrades. He was proud of the progress he made, and now all he wanted to do was crash into bed and let his body rest. But as he stepped into the room and flicked on the lights, he froze. Something—or rather, someone—was underneath the sheets on his bed. The shape was obvious. A figure was curled under the blanket, the smooth curve of a hip barely visible beneath the soft fabric. Ethan blinked, his brain struggling to process what he was seeing. His mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. Was someone waiting for him? Or had his sisters put some kind of prank together while he was training? Either way, it was clear that this was no accident. Someone was in his room, and they had deliberately chosen to hide. "Who's there?" he called out, his heart thumping in his chest. No response. The room was silent, save for the faint hum of the air-conditioning. Ethan approached the bed cautiously, his steps slow and deliberate. The lump shifted slightly, the sheet rising and falling with each breath. 'Who the hell is that?' Ethan swallowed hard, his nerves jangling. Slowly, he reached out, his fingers curling around the edge of the blanket. 'Okay, here goes nothing.' But before he could even lift the sheet, a familiar voice spoke. "Welcome back, baby." His heart nearly jumped out of his chest. "Mom?!" he blurted. Lilith peeked out from under the covers, her silver-white hair fanned across the pillow, her crimson eyes gleaming with amusement. "Surprised?" she asked with a soft giggle. "You... you were supposed to be working tonight," Ethan said, still stunned. "I was. But I finished earlier than expected and thought I'd surprise you." "Surprise, indeed," he muttered. "Why? Are you not happy to see me, baby?" she purred, pouting cutely. "Of course I am," he quickly assured. "Good. Because I've missed you, darling." Hearing her say this made him pay more attention to the details, and it was only then that he realized she was completely naked. Only the blanket covered her body, and even that looked dangerously close to slipping. Lilith caught his gaze and smirked, clearly realizing where his eyes had wandered. "You're staring, baby." "Sorry. I didn't mean to. It's just..." "Just what?" she asked playfully as she leaned back against the headboard, her chest heaving enticingly, her nipples straining against the blanket. Ethan's throat went dry, his pulse quickening. "Mom..." "Shhh, no need to be shy, baby. You've seen it all before." She bit her lip, her eyes burning with desire. "So, do you want to do something before bed? Maybe... continue where we left off?" Hearing her suggest this made Ethan swallow hard as his body definitely wanted to say yes. Hell, everything about her was temptation itself. But he also knew the cost. If he said yes, there was no way he was getting any sleep. Not with her. Not tonight. So, with great effort, he shook his head. "I'd love to, but..." "But what, baby?" "I need to be at the top of my game for tomorrow." "Tomorrow? Why, is there something special happening?" "Yes, Lucas. We have a bet," he answered. "Oh, that. Yes, I forgot about that. Hmmm..." She trailed off, tapping her chin thoughtfully. Thinking about this, she could only sigh as she also nodded as she said, "Well, I guess today is a nogo, but it is not a big problem as we still have plenty of time," she breathed, her eyes locked on his. "Absolutely," he promised, his tone sincere. Lilith smiled. "Such a sweet boy. Come here," she said as she sat up slightly and let the sheet slide off her body. Ethan's breath caught in his throat. Her flawless skin, her perfect curves—everything was right there, exposed to him. She stretched her arms and then opened them toward him. "Come here then. Let's just cuddle. No funny business. Just you and me." 'Is this really okay? I mean, no sex. No crazy stuff. Just... snuggling,' he thought, his brain scrambling to make sense of the situation. "Well?" Lilith pressed, a teasing smile curling her lips. Before Ethan could reply, the blanket slid lower, exposing more and more of her tantalizing skin. "Okay, fine, fine, I give in," he chuckled, kicking his shoes off and removing his clothes to match Lilith's current attire. "Mmm, that's my boy," Lilith murmured, pulling him closer and pulling the blanket over them, wrapping her arms around him. Her soft breath tickled his neck, and her bare skin pressed against his chest. He sighed, feeling his muscles relax. 'This isn't so bad, is it?' He felt her warmth seep into him, her scent enveloping him. "Comfortable?" "Yeah. More than I expected." "See? There's nothing wrong with a little cuddling." "No, there's not." Ethan exhaled softly, his head nuzzling against massive breasts, his arms tightening around her slender waist. The two of them lay there, their bodies intertwined, and soon, the tension in Ethan's body melted away, replaced by a calm, relaxed state. It was perfect. And before he knew it, his eyelids grew heavy, and the sound of her breathing lulled him to sleep. Lilith chuckled as she felt his breathing deepen. "Oh, baby. You really are adorable. Sleep well," she whispered, planting a kiss on his forehead. "We have a big day tomorrow."
