Ais and the Amazonian twins, positioned at the front, immediately launched their attacks. "Wind!" Ais called out, her Desperate Sword wrapped in a swirling emerald gale that cut through swathes of carnivorous flowers. Having reached level 6, Ais had grown even stronger. With her elven bloodline, her Ariel magic now matched large-scale annihilation spells in power. Though not as efficient as Ais, the Amazon twins quickly cleared out the monsters ahead of them as well. Meanwhile, Gareth in the rear smashed the rear-spawned monsters with his battle-axe. But what met his eyes next was a wall of tangled vines—thick and packed, forming a blockade. Curiously, these vines didn't attack like the others. They merely sealed off the exit. Gareth said, "Finn, it looks like the enemy doesn't plan on letting us leave." "I noticed. Not that we planned on retreating anyway. Let's keep going!" Finn replied. With the path cleared, the party advanced quickly and entered the food storage. Inside, the most prominent feature was the massive quartz pillar at its center—originally a source of nourishment for Dungeon monsters. But now a giant flower coiled around it, roots embedded deep into the crystal. Unlike the giant flower from the 59th floor that spawned monsters, this one absorbed all the nutrients for its own growth. Its vines were thickening, and something was rapidly changing and multiplying within its layered petals. The intruding party didn't go unnoticed. A group of robed figures—obviously Dark Faction remnants—watched from below. Only two among them were unmasked. One, a red-haired woman, lounged against the base of the giant flower, tossing objects into her mouth. Charles squinted—those were monster magic stones. Human bodies couldn't digest magic stones. They were toxic, corrosive, and incredibly volatile. But this woman was no ordinary human. Charles sensed the taint of the Fallen Fairy within her. But Finn's gaze had already fixed on the other woman—dressed in a coat made of monster hides, beneath which she wore an extremely revealing tank top and short leather pants. Her face twisted with hatred as she glared back at Finn. "You're still alive? Cockroaches really are hard to kill," she spat. Everyone but Gareth showed visible surprise. Finn, the ever-righteous and composed figure, using such mocking sarcasm? That was unexpected. Just the sight of his face made the woman tremble with rage. His biting tone only fueled her fury. "You bastard! I've never forgotten that face of yours. Every night I dream about smashing your skull in, gutting you like a pig, tearing your entrails out and stabbing every inch of your body!" She wasn't just deranged—she was fully psychotic. "You dare speak to our captain like that?" Tione growled, eyes blazing. "You filthy bitch—I'll show you what you just described!" She made to charge but was stopped by Finn. He showed no reaction to the woman's madness, replying coldly, "If you think you can, then try. Valetta Grede." Emperor Slayer Valetta—her name was infamous during the Great War of Orario. As a high-ranking officer of the Dark Factions, Valetta led countless fanatics in battles against the Loki, Freya, and Ganesha Familia, causing massive destruction. "Five years ago, the Gale's rampage triggered the final assault on the Dark Factions. Most believed Valetta died in the Nightmare of the 27th Floor," Finn explained for the group. "So that whole event was just a setup for their fake deaths?" Tiona asked, piecing it together. Valetta barked a laugh. "Exactly! But everything fell apart thanks to that damned midget hero." She continued, "Six years ago, we were already being crushed by you Guild dogs. Our forces were dwindling, so we manipulated the white-haired ghost and staged that incident on the 27th floor." "We'd prepared fake corpses for all our leaders, just waiting to fool the Guild." "But you, Finn, you filthy devil, saw through it. You didn't send help to the 27th—you led Freya and Ganesha Familia straight to our god!" Finn didn't deny a thing. His ruthless decision had abandoned many capable adventurers but shifted the power balance dramatically in their favor.
