Edelweiss, of course, wasn't going to fall so easily. She cleaved through the fire with her sword. But Charles had expected that—he dove straight down, continuing his offensive. "And finally... Fanged Strike!" Forming claws with his hands, fire wrapped around them as he attacked like a beast tearing its prey apart. Edelweiss lifted her swords, holding them aloft like an angel spreading white wings. Charles thought he saw countless white feathers fall through the air—until he realized they weren't feathers. They were reflections of refracted slashes. His fire dragon claws were effortlessly blocked by those delicate feathers, and Charles himself was sent flying. "Not enough!" Even with his full-powered dragon-blood mode and Spirit Assimilation, Charles's strength still couldn't match Edelweiss's sword. Then... Charles made up his mind.
