Caius had a sharp intake of breath at the pain caused by the aggressiveness of Athenodora’s bite and the deeper her fangs got in his body, the more the pain he felt and the happier Athenodora seemed to become. Which Caius found fascinating because there was no benefit for her in his blood. It wasn’t even because she was so much stronger than he was. Vampires simply cannot evolve by feeding on each other. Caius leaned forward and seized her lips then. Her fangs pricked his lips but it didn’t matter. When he thrust his tongue into her mouth, the sharpness of her teeth grazed him and cut him but he didn’t care. Athenodora seemed to specifically like that actually. She sucked on his tongue and increased the intensity of their kiss in the process. One of Caius’ hands remained on her waist while the other slipped onto the wonderful arch of her ass. If Anton could smell even the quarter of a percent of what Caius tasted from Athenodora’s Blood from him, then he had a right to be greedy for it. And none of what Caius had felt so far had anything to do with the taste of the blood. That was simply the energy, quality, and power that Athenodora’s blood carried. Taste was a different thing entirely and Caius wasn’t sure how to even describe that. It seemed he had already run out of descriptions as they had all been used to describe the energy. It didn’t even matter in the slightest that Athenodora’s blood couldn’t help him evolve magically or physically, every aspect of Caius’s Vampiric being was simply in awe of it. Inclined to worship it. And through it all, there was one question in his head; ’Is this what it means to have Vampire Royal Blood?’
