He turned to his beasts—a huge bronze-scaled cobra with an hourglass mark on its hood. He could feel the connection bonding them together and stretched his hand towards the snake, and the snake brought its head forward, rubbing his cold scale across Julian’s hands, a compliant hiss left its mouth. While Eva was distracted, Ethan shifted into his human form, grabbed spare pants from his space ring, and turned to his beast—now standing as tall as him. He could visibly notice the cold air leaving the huge white wolf with blue, crystalline, sparse fur. The room grew cold and cramped with their massive forms. The wolf moved closer to Ethan, sniffing him before setting at his feet. It howled, and a glimpse of its sharp fangs shone dangerously in the room. ’It can’t be, no!
