The map showed Wishing Valley, Verdant Ravine, and Suffocating Swamp Forest at the center, surrounded by three distinct territories, almost like a protective ring around them. The first was to the east—a vast expanse of black mountains. Ethan recognized them immediately. Doom Mountains. A massive, rugged mountain range that served as a natural gateway—and barrier—between Sylvanwood and the world beyond. Emerald Castle would have to break through this region eventually. But not yet. Opening up Doom Mountains would mean exposing Emerald Castle to the wider world. And Ethan wasn’t ready for that. He wasn’t too concerned about other players. But the official military forces of the Unicorn Duchy? They were still a serious threat to Emerald Castle. Clearly, Ethan’s ambitions had already moved beyond just competing with other players. He was thinking bigger. Much bigger. And in that case, a little caution wouldn’t hurt. With that in mind, Ethan pointed at Doom Mountains on the map and shook his head. "Leave Doom Mountains alone for now. Our main focus should still be on Sylvanwood." He paused, then pointed at the other two regions. "What about these areas? What’s the situation there?" To the north and east, the map showed a vast, barren wasteland. To the west and south, an endless stretch of dense forest. The remaining areas were scattered with smaller regions and, of course, the imposing presence of Doom Mountains. "Master, let me give you a quick rundown." Elynn nodded and traced her finger across the map, stopping at the northern and northeastern regions. "This area is called Fury Wasteland—a vast expanse of barren desert and rocky terrain. It’s massive, filled with a large number of wild creatures, and most of them are high-tier. However, the resources here are extremely scarce. Whether it’s creature dwellings, gold mines, or other resource points, they’re all incredibly rare." "Because of that, Fury Wasteland doesn’t hold much development value." Ethan paused for a moment, then muttered, "Scarce resources, but lots of wild creatures... So basically, this place is a perfect grinding and leveling zone?" Players rarely got a chance to farm them. After all, it wasn’t just players who needed to grind and level up—the native NPCs in Glory Lords X did too. They also needed to train and farm! That’s why places like Sylvanwood—considered a forbidden zone even by NPC factions—were some of the only places where you could find prime leveling grounds like this. "Did you find anything else? Like Ultimate Units or new castles?" Ethan asked again. "I’ll let Her Highness Seraphina explain this one," Elynn said, turning toward Seraphina. Seraphina’s eyes gleamed as she looked at Ethan and spoke slowly. "Master, I discovered a Behemoth nest in the Fury Wasteland." "Behemoth?" Ethan’s body tensed, his pupils contracting. "You mean the Legendary Units from the Stronghold faction? The 13-Tier Behemoths?" "No," Seraphina shook her head. "These are 14-Tier Mythic Units." "Fourteen-Tier!?" Ethan’s pupils shrank again as he sucked in a sharp breath. Fourteen? Mythic Units? What kind of concept was that? Even with his current confidence and composure, he couldn’t help but be shaken! In Glory Lords X, Mythic Units were on an entirely different level. They symbolized absolute dominance, standing above all other beings. But before Ethan could fully process this shocking revelation— Seraphina dropped another bombshell. "And if my observations are correct, that Behemoth nest contains more than one 14-Tier Ancient Behemoth." Her eyes flickered as she continued, "I fought one of them. He wasn’t my match, but when I realized there was more than one 14-Tier Mythic Unit in that nest, I decided to withdraw." She paused for a moment, a hint of pride flashing in her gaze before she added, "But I did scare him. After that fight, I haven’t seen a single Behemoth in the Fury Wasteland. "It’s all because of you, Master... If not for your guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So... so all the credit belongs to you..." she mumbled, her head lowered, stumbling over her words. Ethan chuckled and gently ruffled her silky hair before continuing, "Aside from the 14-Tier Mythic Units, how many 13-Tier Behemoths were there? Did you get a count?" "I’m not entirely sure..." Seraphina’s eyes flickered as she answered. "But there were definitely at least a dozen. And if there were more hiding that I didn’t spot, then... it’s possible there could be over twenty!" "Twenty 13-Tier Behemoths?!" Ethan’s body tensed before he let out a wry chuckle. "No wonder this is an SS-ranked quest. It’s definitely living up to its reputation..." After a brief pause, he asked again, "And... did you see any heroes in that Behemoth nest?" Heroes—this was what Ethan was most concerned about. If it was just a horde of wild units without a hero leading them, it would be troublesome, sure, but not terrifying. After all, Seraphina alone had already forced them into hiding, and once Cicero reached adulthood, their Emerald Castle would have a significant advantage.
