Chapter 195: A dragon god

Words : 1565 Updated : Sep 27th, 2025
Chapter 195: A dragon god"Kirin?" "Yeah. The Kirin clan are sacred spirits from the Spirit Realm—ancient, powerful, and with a legacy as deep as ours, the Dragonkin. They’re no joke." "They’re born with dominion over water. Any form of it—oceans, rivers, lakes, even rain—they can control it all. That makes them natural-born water mages. No, scratch that—water gods." "And especially out here, in the open sea? Unless you’re talking about some long-lost sea monster from myth or legend, the Kirin are basically untouchable." "Even our Dragonkin, or the Inferno Devils, or Angels—we all avoid fighting them at sea. Because if you’re evenly matched in power, you’re still probably gonna lose." "But..." Cicero suddenly shifted tone, brushing it off with a lazy shrug. "But that’s just regular Kirin. Nothing too crazy. The real monsters? The Sacred Kirin—Mythic Units from the Tidesworn faction." "Out here on the ocean, the Sacred Kirin are known as immortal and undefeated." "That strong?" Ethan’s expression shifted, clearly shaken. He knew Cicero’s personality well. Always looked laid-back, like he didn’t care about anything. But in truth? Deep down, he was just as proud and arrogant as Seraphina. So for him to openly admit something like that— That hint of awe, that flicker of caution in his voice— It said everything. The Sacred Kirin weren’t just strong. They were terrifying. The kind of force that, once they hit the water, became unstoppable—like they were swimming in their element with some god-tier buff activated. Practically invincible. Ethan’s eyes lit up, a spark of longing flickering in them. An unbeatable navy. Ruling the seas, dominating every direction, untouchable. That was his first impression of the Kirin clan. And as a Lord, standing before such overwhelming naval power, how could he not be tempted? If he could... if there was even a chance... He wanted a Sacred Kirin navy of his own—one that could tear across the oceans, unstoppable and unmatched. If that dream ever came true... Then the Emerald Castle’s navy would rise to the level of those legendary sea empires—crushing everything in their path, feared by all, challenged by none. And just like that, without a sound, a seed was planted deep in his heart. Buried, but very much alive. "Draven..." At the same time— Marquis Lucan clenched his jaw, staring ahead, trying to hide the panic in his eyes. Pirate King Draven. One of the three scourges of the coastal waters near the Unicorn Duchy. His naval force alone was nearly half the strength of the entire duchy’s fleet. And now, even though Draven hadn’t brought his full armada, what he had brought was more than enough to be a serious threat. Especially with those monsters hovering in the sky—Inferno Devils with their twisted grins, and even worse, the Mythic-tier Inferno Arch Devil, radiating pure malice. "We’re done for..." Marquis Lucan let his arms fall to his sides, drained of all strength. His eyes were full of resignation, and there was a flicker of pain on his face—as if he were already mourning his own death. "Looks like... the two of us are gonna die here today." "Die?" Ethan actually chuckled when he heard that. He shook his head, calm and composed. "Relax, Marquis Lucan. If they think they can kill us... they’re not nearly qualified." The moment those words left his mouth, the entire battlefield fell silent. Shff! Shff! Shff! Dozens—no, hundreds—of eyes snapped toward Ethan all at once. And in those stares, a storm of emotions swirled. Shock. Mockery. Disdain. Amusement. They looked at him like he was insane—like some delusional fool who didn’t know his place. It was laughable. Ridiculous. But no matter what they thought, in that instant, Ethan’s presence carved itself deep into everyone’s mind. No one could ignore him now. Not Marquis Lucan. Not Draven. Not anyone. A ripple of tension passed through the crowd. Even Draven’s expression shifted slightly, his body tensing. His eyes narrowed, flickering with cold light as he stared Ethan down, voice low and dangerous. "Who the hell are you? You’ve got some nerve, acting like I’m nothing." His gaze was sharp as blades, and the killing intent rolling off him was unmistakable. He wasn’t just angry. He wanted Ethan dead. But Ethan didn’t flinch. He met Draven’s glare head-on, his voice cutting through the air like steel. "And who the hell are you, that I should care?" There was no fear in his tone—only dominance and defiance. He had no intention of playing nice with some scumbag who’d thrown in with the Inferno faction. And that murderous glint in Draven’s eyes? Ethan saw it clear as day. Someone who wanted him dead? Then there was no need for courtesy. His voice was cold, his aura sharp and oppressive. And just like that, Draven and his crew’s faces twisted with fury. This wasn’t just provocation anymore. It was a slap in the face. "You little bastard!" Draven’s voice was a snarl, his teeth clenched, rage boiling over. "You want to die that badly? Fine—I’ll grant your wish! Domit, kill him!" "Yes, Master!" came a thunderous roar. From behind Draven, a massive ogre-like warrior—one of his elite hero units—let out a furious bellow. With a single leap, he launched himself off the deck of the warship, charging straight at Ethan with murderous intent. But— Hmph! A cold, bone-chilling snort echoed from deep within Ethan’s body. BOOOOM! A terrifying surge of energy exploded from behind him—like a rift in space had been torn open. A storm unlike anything seen before erupted into existence. A monstrous, apocalyptic wave of power surged outward, sweeping across the battlefield like a tidal wave from hell. The moment it appeared, it devoured everything in its path. The warships. The sea. Even the thousands upon thousands of aquatic units in the water— All of it was thrown into chaos. Like a dragon sucking up the ocean, the sea itself twisted and rose into the sky, dragging everything with it—spiraling upward, piercing the clouds— And then crashing back down into the depths with a deafening roar. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! One after another, the bodies crashed into the sea, triggering monstrous waves that surged sky-high, swallowing the surface of the ocean whole. The endless sea churned violently, roaring like a beast awakened in fury. The sound was deafening—like the ocean itself was screaming. The scene was pure chaos. Terrifying beyond words. WMMM! At that moment, a deep emerald glow surged from the twisted rift in space behind Ethan. And then—it appeared. A colossal, sky-darkening beast emerged from the void. A dragon. But not just any dragon. This one was massive beyond comprehension, its wings blotting out the sun, its presence suffocating. "Wh-What is that...?" "No way... That’s impossible!" Gasps and cries of disbelief erupted across the battlefield. Eyes widened. Pupils shrank. Faces drained of color. And then— ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!! A thunderous dragon’s roar tore through the heavens, shaking the very air. The shockwave blasted outward in all directions, ripping the sea apart and creating a vacuum in the ocean’s surface. Hurricanes howled in its wake. THOOM! A massive, emerald-scaled claw came crashing down from the sky. It was monstrous—like a mountain falling from the heavens. The claw grew larger and larger in everyone’s eyes, filling their vision with dread. And then it slammed down—right on top of the ogre hero who had charged at Ethan. The ogre had barely turned to run, his face twisted in terror, when— BOOOOOOM!!! The impact was apocalyptic. The sky cracked. The sea exploded. It was like a nuclear bomb had gone off. A shockwave of raw power blasted outward, flattening everything in its path. The heavens themselves seemed to tear open, leaving behind a warped, glowing imprint of the dragon’s claw in the sky. The clouds parted. The light vanished. And silence fell. The ogre hero? Gone. Reduced to a smear of blood and shattered bone. Pulverized into nothing but a splatter of gore and meat paste. Dead. Completely, utterly dead. His blood painted the sky red for a moment—then faded, his soul already pulled back to the respawn point. In his place now hovered a beast of legend. A green dragon, majestic and terrifying, its body stretching tens of thousands of feet across the sky. Its wings cast a shadow over the entire battlefield, blocking out the sun. It coiled in the air like a god descending from the heavens. A divine beast. A dragon god. And it had come at Ethan’s call. With just one appearance, it had silenced the entire battlefield. Its overwhelming presence crashed down like a tidal wave, freezing the blood in everyone’s veins. Their hearts pounded wildly in their chests. Thump. Thump. Thump. Faces turned pale. Bodies trembled. Souls quaked. No one dared to speak. No one dared to move. Even the air felt heavy—like it was bowing to the dragon’s will. Marquis Lucan stood frozen beside Ethan, mouth agape, unable to process what he was seeing. Across from them, Pirate King Draven and his crew were just as stunned. Even the Inferno Devils and the Mythic-tier Inferno Arch Devil hovering in the sky— They all froze. Shocked. Speechless. "This... this is..." Draven’s voice cracked, his entire body trembling. His men stared at the dragon like it was a nightmare made real. "No way... That’s a Crimson Ultimate Green Dragon Hero?!" "That’s impossible! How the hell does he have that?!"
