All of a person’s delicateness is actually spoiled out of them.
In Isabella Weaver’s world, there was originally no such word as delicateness, but with Harry Hunter protecting her and indulging her, she finally had the right to be delicate.
The two of them kissed and hugged from time to time in the bathroom, so much so that their washing time was half an hour longer than usual.
Even after breakfast was over and they left the house together, they were still clinging to each other.
Aunt Hart, tidying up the dishes, watched their backs and sighed, "What a sweet couple! Indeed, you have to meet the right person!"
Harry Hunter drove Isabella Weaver to the hospital, and the couple visited Shiely Morrison. Seeing she was in good spirits, they quickly left.
Isabella went to report at Moonlight Jewelry, while Harry went to the Star Region Group.
At ten o’clock in the morning, after Isabella was familiarized with the company, she was taken to the CEO’s office.
This office had never been visited by Shiely Morrison. The one who always worked here was Cherry Lewis.
Isabella sat in the chair that Cherry Lewis once used, and before she could turn on the computer, a bullet pierced through the glass, shooting into her body.
Pain surged through her, blood dyed her brand new shirt red, and then she fell into darkness.
In the building opposite the Moonlight Jewelry office, a stunningly exquisite face hid in the shadows. He expressionlessly put away his sniper rifle, donned a black baseball cap, and left with a briefcase in hand.
He chewed gum and reported to his employer through a special communicator: "The target has been eliminated. Please settle the remaining payment."
At noon, the news of an assassination attempt on the wife of the Star Region Group’s president exploded across the nation!
The hospital was besieged by reporters, everyone waiting for Harry Hunter to come out with firsthand information.
But Harry did not appear, only his secretary came out to deal with the reporters.
At six-thirty in the evening, Ryder Lewis, CEO of the Lewis Clan Group and the second-wealthiest entrepreneur in the national rich list, jumped to his death.
This news added even more fuel to the fire!
Ryder Lewis had just held a press conference in the morning, and he seemed perfectly fine with no signs of suicidal tendencies!
There was chaos outside and all kinds of speculation, but most people believed Ryder Lewis’s death was related to the Star Region Group.
Harry Hunter paid no attention to any of it. He gently fed porridge to Isabella Weaver.
"Does it hurt?"
"It doesn’t hurt."
Isabella’s face was pale, like a vampire never seeing daylight, yet she smiled at Harry: "I thought I was going to die, but waking up to see you is really nice."
There was a chilling coldness in Harry’s eyes: "You won’t die; someone else will."
Isabella knew nothing about what happened outside, but based on her intuition, she said, "I feel like Cherry Lewis was behind this. Otherwise, why did the bullet come as soon as I sat in her old chair?"
"Yes, it has something to do with her."
Harry’s response was somewhat vague. He had already found out who hired the professional assassin and had dealt with the person.
He just didn’t want Isabella to know how ruthless he could be.
"Are you sure it doesn’t hurt?"
"It doesn’t hurt."
Harry sighed softly; how could it not hurt? This morning she was delicate, and by evening she was strong as steel. His delicate wife always knew when to be delicate and when not to be.
"It’s okay. If it hurts, just tell me. With me, you can always be delicate."
"There’s anesthesia; it really doesn’t hurt. I’m just a bit sleepy and want to nap."
"Okay, sleep."
"Stay with me, don’t leave."
"I won’t leave."
