This Saturday night is destined for countless sleepless souls.
Ryder Lewis rushed to pull strings overnight to rescue his daughter. The next morning, he returned home only to hear the terrible news of his mother’s critical illness and vomiting blood.
It took great effort to get Old Madam Lewis to the hospital and save her, only to then receive alarming messages from his secretary: the Lewis Clan Group’s stock price had plummeted, losing billions overnight!
Explosive news alerts on his phone were all about the Lewis Family.
Not having a moment to breathe, he hastily returned to the company to manage affairs.
Hunter Family.
Amy Winters had cried herself hoarse, unable to conceal the strong hatred she felt for Harry Hunter.
The old lady also looked ashen-faced, staring at Harry as if looking at a stranger.
Harry remained oblivious, his perfectly handsome face devoid of any expression, like a sculpted statue.
His cold voice echoed in the living room: "From today, the Hunter Family will close its doors to guests. I’ve prepared a house for you in the countryside. The day I get my wife back is the day you can return to the city."
Amy Winters cried out: "I won’t go to the countryside! My son is still in jail, and without any evidence, how could you have the police arrest him?! He always treated you like a brother, how could you do this to him!"
Harry picked up an envelope, poured out the photos inside, and indifferently tossed them at her face.
Amy Winters picked them up and found they were all photos of Cherry Lewis and Austin Winters together! The two were intimately posed, like a couple!
The old lady suddenly spoke coldly: "You ruin the Lewis Family for a vixen, and even want to drag down the Hunter Family with it. I worked hard to raise you, and this is how you repay me?!"
Harry stood up and pushed open the living room window, letting the drizzle and chill seep into his bones.
With his back to everyone, his tall figure made him appear especially stern and cold.
"Grandma always liked that castle of the Lewis Family, didn’t she? It will soon be yours."
The old lady’s eyes lit up with a hint of excitement: "Really?"
"Yes."
Harry’s voice was indifferent: "Then it will be gifted to Isabella Weaver in your name. She will marry me, and the Hunter Family hasn’t paid the bride price yet. That castle is both valuable and has artistic design; she’s going to like it."
"What?!"
The old lady erupted in fury!
That was the castle she had longed for so much!
"She doesn’t deserve it! That castle is only for those with great virtue and respect to inhabit! It’s a symbol of status! Giving it to her isn’t even afraid she’ll shorten her own life!"
"If I say she deserves it, she deserves it."
Harry’s voice was very calm. Though speaking with the old lady, his thoughts had already drifted far.
He imagined, in the future, having several children with Isabella Weaver, they could play hide-and-seek in the castle as a family.
Hmm, the castle is big and would be quite challenging to search.
There’s even a natural lake inside; he could take his son fishing for shrimp, and Isabella could take their daughter to paint by the lake.
If Isabella likes company, she can invite friends to the castle for fun.
If Isabella prefers peace and quiet, the castle would solely belong to their family.
While the old lady continued to curse, and Amy Winters kept crying, Harry regained his thoughts and found them particularly obtrusive.
"Connor!"
"Young Master!"
"Send them away, and don’t let them come back without my permission!"
"Yes!"
Connor waved his hand, and several bodyguards immediately dragged the two away.
Silence fell in the living room.
After quite a while, Connor said: "Young Master, the old master’s still unconscious. Did we give him too much medication? His body..."
Before he could finish speaking, the living room door suddenly swung open, and Ben Hunter stormed in angrily: "Brat, you actually drugged me! Are you afraid I’ll live too long?!"
