Christopher Weaver initially wanted to follow her, but seeing her leave the hospital, he gave up.
The director of this private hospital, Alan Valley, is a friend of Ryan Parker. He decided to go back and ask Ryan Parker for help.
Isabella Weaver watched from a distance as Christopher Weaver drove away, then slowly walked back to the hospital.
She absolutely could not let Christopher Weaver see Shiely Morrison, as it would greatly disturb Shiely Morrison’s emotions, and Christopher Weaver would certainly be detrimental to her.
Fortunately, the management of this hospital was strict, and Christopher Weaver couldn’t easily find information about Shiely Morrison.
She returned to the ward and waited for another half hour before the nurse pushed Shiely Morrison back from completing various checks.
Johan Niles was holding a thick stack of examination reports and, on behalf of his mentor, told Isabella Weaver the results: "Her body has apparently suffered severe trauma, her vitality greatly damaged, and wasn’t properly nurtured afterward, which is why she’s so weak now."
Isabella Weaver was deeply worried: "What should we do?"
"Even my mentor doesn’t have a good solution. Just take good care of her; her body can’t handle too much medication, or it won’t withstand it."
Even the best doctors have limited abilities.
Isabella Weaver understood this principle, thanked Johan Niles, and sat beside Shiely Morrison.
Shiely Morrison lay weakly on the bed but showed Isabella Weaver a faint smile: "Life and death are fated; there’s no need to care too much. I’m already content to hear you call me ’mom’ before I die."
Isabella Weaver’s eyes swiftly welled up with tears, and she forced herself not to cry: "How can there be no regrets? Don’t you want to see your grandchild, mom?"
Shiely Morrison’s spirit was lifted: "You’re pregnant?"
"I... not yet, but it will happen sooner or later! Do you really not want to see your grandchild born?"
"I really would like to, but my body..."
Isabella Weaver held her hand and pouted, "I won’t be able to take care of a child. I need your help! The old lady at the Hunter Family mansion never liked me and won’t help me!"
Shiely Morrison frowned slightly. She initially thought she could pass away peacefully, but unexpectedly, her daughter’s life wasn’t as stable and harmonious as it seemed.
"Then I’ll strive to live a bit longer?"
"Yes! Of course, you must!"
"How long have you been married to Harry Hunter?"
"Two months."
Shiely Morrison suddenly laughed: "Only two months, no wonder you haven’t conceived."
Isabella Weaver’s face instantly turned red; the issue wasn’t about the number of months.
But she couldn’t reveal the secret that she hadn’t truly become a wife to Harry Hunter yet, or she’d have to explain endlessly.
She switched topics to discuss some design issues and soon became engrossed in conversation with Shiely Morrison.
No one had ever guided her in such a detailed and patient manner before; after an hour of conversation, she benefited greatly.
"You don’t need to come keep me company anymore. From tomorrow, go to the company and work. While I’m still relatively energetic these days, I’ll help you handle some issues so you can get on track faster."
The new president taking office will definitely face dissent, let alone one as young as Isabella Weaver.
Shiely Morrison’s thoughts were racing; looking at her daughter’s still young face, her tone gradually became solemn:
"Some things I didn’t plan to tell you, but now I realize you’re far from a naive little girl, so I’ll tell you the truth. I originally had half the shares of the Weaver Clan Group, but Christopher Weaver took them all for himself!"
"I founded Moonlight with the intention of swallowing Christopher Weaver’s company! Isabella, the person you need to defeat is your father—take back what belongs to you!"
Isabella Weaver was stirred and solemnly declared: "I will! I’ve always wanted to defeat him! And I definitely can defeat him!"
