Chapter 74: A Traumatizing Experience! Adam showed up to the staff room, his face slightly sweating and his expression a mix of absolute fear and shock. "Haha, Adam, you sure are joking. Of course he would return; it’s Ken after all." Lu, wanting to ease the mood, spoke these words, but even with Adam calming down slightly, his demeanor was far from normal. "Umm... what about the VIP room?" Alissa, on the side, as if she couldn’t read the room, could only think of her stomach. "Big Sis, we’ll talk about that later. Senior Adam, let’s sit down and talk." Ken, seeing that it was a chance to see more from a senior like Adam, who was normally composed, drove the group to bring up a large round table in the middle using a formation. And then, in no more than a minute, the entire staff room was sitting, their attention on both Ken and Adam. Minutes quickly went by as the air in the room stiffened and Adam seemed like he wanted to speak. Thus, everybody’s eyes opened, and they listened to the oldest and most experienced in the room. "How powerful was it?" Adam asked. "Its roar was enough to make an entire village quake." Ken said. "..." Adam’s face paled, and every single staff member in the room had their eyes almost out of their sockets. The way they started looking at Ken from this moment onward was completely different. The staff from his batch all the way to Adam all came to the realization that Ken, who had dared to take this mission this early on as a cultivator and lived to tell the tale, no... managed to kill that very same entity... was a monster. "No, that’s not what I mean..." Adam shook his head. Making a village quake with a roar was around as strong or slightly stronger than what he experienced... but that wasn’t what he aimed at when he posed the question. "How long did it take you to kill it? How hard was it to defeat?" Adam asked the real question more straightforwardly. "..." Ken took his time to reply; he was calculating what would be a good answer. Should he be honest or hide some truth? What would be the wisest, most fruitful answer? "2 nights. The room turned silent, and the other staff, instead of being shocked, turned to look at Ken, because they, with their lack of experience and information, failed to realize how impossible the words Ken just spoke were. Sure, a foundation establishment realm individual could do so in a single day; the second the devil dared come out, he would squash it alongside the contractor, who would also go naked in front of his all-seeing eyes. Lu, who was next to Alissa, poked the lady’s hand with a small steel rod he had on hand, and once she gazed at him, she was scared by his expression that told her to better shut the hell up. Alissa, being scared, finally shut her mouth, and thus, the group could focus on Adam’s words more easily. ------End------
