Rogue was in her Guild's office, a spacious room with simple but elegant furniture and a huge window overlooking the city below. The afternoon was beginning to darken, and the distant sound of the goings-on around the Osiris Guild brought a sense of control, something she had always cherished. She was silent, watching the profit and loss reports while holding a mug of hot tea, her gaze attentive to detail. She heard hurried footsteps approaching, and her keen sense of smell detected the scent of one of her subordinates, a short, nervous man with wide eyes. "Ms. Rogue, we have a serious problem," he said, interrupting her concentration. She looked at him for a moment, her yellow eyes, with the characteristic glint of her cheetah nature, fixed on him. "Go on," she said in a controlled voice, but one that carried a tone of authority that anyone knew to be dangerous. "Someone is stealing from our customers, ma'am," the subordinate replied, the words coming out in a rush. "We have several reports that another guild is luring ours... by offering better deals, lower prices, and... it seems we have a traitor in our midst." Rogue froze for a moment. She had been a ruthless leader, and the idea of having a flaw in her Guild was something she would not tolerate. The anger she felt was almost instinctive. She didn't believe in betrayal easily, but she knew that any sign of weakness could be fatal in a world like theirs. She stood up from her chair, her muscles tense, and walked over to her subordinate, her claws slightly visible. "What's the name of this Guild?" She asked in a low but threatening voice. Her body moved with the grace of a predator about to strike. "We don't know for sure, ma'am," he replied, clearly panicked, "but many say it's coming from a guild called Eclipse. They're fast, discreet... and they're taking our business." Rogue gave a cold smile. The Eclipse Guild was known for its dirty and treacherous tactics. She felt a surge of anger invade her veins. It wasn't just a question of business. It was personal. She walked over to a nearby table and picked up a sharp dagger, running her fingers along the blade calmly, but her expression was a mask of restrained fury. The idea of being challenged by another Guild made her furious, but knowing that someone from within her own Guild could be helping that organization steal from her... that made her lose her temper. "I won't allow it," said Rogue in a venomous voice. "No one steals from my clients. Nobody comes into my Guild and gets away with it." Get ready," she ordered her subordinate, who didn't dare say anything else, just hurried off to carry out her orders. Rogue looked out of the window again, her mind boiling. She knew that the Eclipse Guild was after more than just customers. They were trying to expand their domains, and Rogue wouldn't allow that to happen. She knew she would need to act quickly and precisely, but also with ferocity. She was ready to hunt down whoever was responsible for this betrayal. Then, just when she thought her anger was all-consuming, her subordinate returned with something in his hands. He looked nervous, which for him meant he was in trouble. When he approached Rogue, his expression was one of fear. "Ms. Rogue... there's one more thing," he said, his voice trembling. He handed over the letter in the impeccable handwriting of Samira, one of his allies. Rogue looked at him, before taking the letter and tearing the seal with impressive agility. She read the message quickly, her eyes narrowing as she scrolled through the words. Rogue's face remained impassive, but inside her, an even greater anger began to form. [Hey bitch, start preparing for war. Strax has asked you to hire mercenaries, other guilds, dominate all of Vorah if possible. We have work to do, the Empire will attack us at any moment, be careful. We'll be back soon. Your best friend, Samira]. Rogue remained silent for a moment, Samira's letter crumpled in her hands. Her golden eyes shone with anger and concentration, trying to process the information. She didn't like the way things were unfolding. The empire was about to attack, and now, because of this external threat, she had to prepare for a war - not just with other guilds, but with a much larger force. The poison of betrayal still boiled in her veins, but the threat of the Empire forced her to turn her focus to the big picture. Samira's words, with their typical irreverence, brought her a sense of urgency she didn't like. The Osiris Guild was no simple organization. It was an imposing fortress, led by her, and any sign of weakness meant death. And now there were two threats: the Eclipse Guild and an Empire that was preparing to shake up her domain. "Mercenaries, other guilds... and the Empire," Rogue muttered to herself, her gaze hardening. She turned, looking out of the window again, the city below seemed strangely distant now. She was far from being taken by surprise, but the situation was taking on proportions she hadn't anticipated. She closed the letter tightly, her tail moving quickly from side to side, an expression of pure fury and frustration stamped on her face. It wouldn't be easy, but Rogue knew that nothing would be impossible for her. She was in control of the situation and her guild, but the Empire... that was different. Rogue walked over to a side table and pressed her fingers against the maps spread out on it, looking at the border lines, the areas of influence of other guilds and the strategic positions. She needed to gather her forces quickly, very quickly. She knew that the Empire would not attack in a disorderly manner. They would plan every move, waiting for the right moment. She had no time to waste on internal intrigues like the Eclipse Guild, but she also knew that allowing these vermin to take over her business was a fatal mistake. With a deep sigh, Rogue turned again to the subordinate who was still in the room. He looked fearful, but she had no time for niceties. "Prepare a surveillance group," she said coolly, her voice low and threatening. "I want to know every detail about the Eclipse Guild's movements. No one escapes my attention. If anyone from my Guild is collaborating with them, the punishment will be severe." ... ... ... [Some time after Strax defeated Scarlet] Scarlet was anxious, almost feverish with desire. She was anxiously waiting for Strax, in his personal room. The vampire couldn't wait any longer to claim what was rightfully his, the reward he promised!
