The tension-filled atmosphere that had settled earlier now vanished, replaced by a peculiar and unsettling moment. Daniela, Belatrix, and Cassandra, the powerful daughters of Scarlet, knelt on the ground, their postures rigid and tense, while Scarlet, with a mischievous grin, stood before them, wearing nothing but a towel that barely covered the essentials, her arms crossed with an expression of disapproval.
"You've gotten quite naughty... spying on your own mother?" Scarlet said, her voice dripping with ironic amusement.
The three sisters exchanged bewildered glances, completely taken aback by the situation. Just moments ago, they had been discussing Strax and trying to manage the situation, and now, here they were, being reprimanded in a way they could hardly believe.
"Mom... we didn't... we didn't mean to... Oh, shit." Daniela began, clearly at a loss for words, her nervous expression struggling to come up with a plausible excuse. She knew there was no way out of the scolding, but her pride wouldn't allow her to admit the mistake outright.
Cassandra, always the more composed of the three, tried to offer a more diplomatic explanation. "We just... wanted to understand what was going on, of course. It's not like it was a big secret, but... well, curiosity is hard to control, isn't it?" she said, attempting to offer a rational justification, but her tone was clearly nervous.
Belatrix, on the other hand, was visibly uncomfortable, her face flushed and unsure of where to look.
"We just... thought, you know... something was wrong. We needed to see with our own eyes," she added, her voice trembling, clearly without a convincing argument.
Scarlet observed each of her daughters with a malicious smile, clearly enjoying their discomfort. She crossed her arms more firmly, leaning slightly against the doorframe.
"I didn't know my daughters were so... bold," she continued in a teasing tone, her eyes glinting with a subtle challenge. "Spying on their own mother? Tsk, tsk... I think I'll have to teach you some respect."
Daniela, unable to maintain her composure any longer, let out an irritated sigh.
"Okay, okay! We shouldn't have done it. We get it, no need to make a drama out of it," she grumbled, but her gaze betrayed a mixture of discomfort and a hint of amusement.
Scarlet grinned widely and leaned forward, her hands now resting on her hips.
"Drama? No, no. This is just the beginning." She said with a light laugh, enjoying the situation. "But I think, to make sure you never think of spying on Mommy again, I'll have to give you a little lesson."
The three sisters looked at her with a mix of apprehension and confusion, unsure whether she was serious or just joking.
"A lesson? What kind of lesson?" Cassandra asked in a distrustful tone, trying to maintain some dignity.
Scarlet, now with a more serious expression, took a step forward, looking more imposing than ever despite the towel still not covering everything completely. She gazed at them with an enigmatic smile, her eyes glinting with a touch of malice.
"You'll learn what happens when someone tries to control or challenge me," she said, offering no further explanation.
Belatrix, now more alert, looked at Scarlet with a mix of curiosity and a bit of fear. "And how are you going to do that, Mom?" she asked, clearly trying to stay calm, although it was evident that she wasn't entirely comfortable with the situation.
Scarlet merely let out a low laugh, a soft sound, but full of intent.
"You'll have to figure that out for yourselves, darlings. Let's start with a little training."
Daniela's eyes widened, and the other sisters tensed, not knowing what to expect as Scarlet moved away from the door, suggesting that the "lesson" was about to begin. The air in the room grew heavy with tension, but also with a sense of fun and anticipation—something that, for her daughters, was a disorienting mix of emotions.
Scarlet then looked back at the three of them, a mischievous gleam in her eyes. "Now... who's going to be the first to learn the lesson?"
"No, no, it doesn't," she said firmly. "Your mother had already promised me a husband, I just claimed what she gave me." She squeezed Strax with an imposing strength, her eyes glowing with a possessive tone.
Strax, unfazed, grinned playfully, seeming more comfortable than ever.
"Ah... I was sold before I was born... I don't mind it," he said with a smile, his voice more relaxed than the situation warranted.
The room fell silent for a moment as the sisters processed the revelations, until Belatrix, with a slight tone of humor and a hint of irony, broke the silence.
"Well... what do we do now?" she commented, her words hanging in the air. After all, now all four Vampires were somehow connected to Strax.
Strax straightened up, a mischievous grin on his face as he looked at the sisters and Scarlet.
"Hm? You're mine, and that's that," he declared, his voice full of confidence, a touch of provocation, and a clear sense of ownership.
Scarlet, however, was still not satisfied. She looked at him with a curious expression and a slight smile.
"I just have one question..." she said, pointing to a message that suddenly appeared in front of Strax.
He looked at the message, surprised. It was a system window, glowing faintly.
[You have received 200 levels.]
Strax furrowed his brow, confused for a moment.
"What is this?" Scarlet asked, a mixture of skepticism and curiosity in her voice.
...
The wind cut through the plains as a long and arduous journey neared its climax. The sky was tinged with a reddish hue, typical of a tense twilight, as if the very universe were paying attention to what was about to happen.
"Shit..." Samira murmured, her eyes fixed on the screen in front of her. She felt a weight in her stomach as she read the words once again: Experience new stories on empire
[You have conquered Scarlet Vermillion].
Her mind seemed unable to fully process the information. Scarlet Vermillion, the powerful vampire, mother of so many legends and figures that dominated the vampire world, was now connected to Strax.
"He did it..." Monica said, her voice low, filled with disbelief. She looked at the others, trying to process the words and what they truly meant. "He really... did it... this guy... is crazy."
Those words hung in the air as the group continued walking through the Realm. They were on unfamiliar ground now, with the weight of the newly discovered information hanging over them.
Cristine, usually the composed one, was now lost in thought, her gaze distant. "This is madness..." she said, her voice deeper than usual.
"Well, our husband is really an idiot, but he knows how to please a woman..." Beatrice said with a shrug, "Hey system, can you guide us to Strax?" She asked... But the system didn't respond.
"Tch, idiot."
