He held his own against the siege of six major figures from the Buddhist Realm, their battle trapped in a stalemate. Just then, another joined the fray. Venerable Mahakasyapa entered the battle, joining the onslaught against Sun Wukong. “Well met!” Sun Wukong laughed heartily, a boundless heroic spirit awakening in his heart, as if he had returned to the days of the Havoc in Heaven. Back then, he alone forced the Nine Luminaries to hide, the Four Heavenly Kings to vanish without a trace. He fought all the way to the Hall of Light, where the Daoist Dharma Protector King Spiritual Official and the thirty-six generals of the Thunder Department attacked him in unison, yet still could not subdue him.
