Even under Sun Wukong’s gaze, he dared to meet his eyes. “Junior of the Demon Clan, Bai Yu, pays respects to the Great Sage Equalling Heaven,” Bai Yu greeted. He was an Immortal Crane who had achieved enlightenment, arrogant by nature, and even before the Great Sage, he held himself with an air of aloofness. Even more so, Bai Yu’s eyes sparkled with a challenge as he looked at Sun Wukong. “After the Heavenly Court established the order of the Three Realms, where is there still a Demon Clan? The hand, appearing slow, hit him in the blink of an eye, sending him from mid-air crashing into the East Sea, stirring up monstrous waves. The next moment, Bai Yu burst skyward. His eyes filled with fury, he shouted, “Great Sage Equalling Heaven, I respected you as a predecessor of the Demon Clan, yet you insult me at will, so don’t blame me for being rude.” After speaking, rows of white feathers appeared behind Bai Yu, which then transformed into a blanket of Sword Qi, enveloping Sun Wukong. “Impressive,” Sun Wukong admired. I admire you and thank you for teaching me a lesson just now, letting me know how high the heavens and how thick the earth is. Sun Wukong tilted his head to look at him and thought, where went the defiance? This junior’s thick-skinnedness might soon catch up to his own. “What exactly is this ‘Demon Clan’ supposed to be?” Sun Wukong asked. Whereas Taiyi Celestial Immortal, Taiyi Loose Immortal, and Taiyi Golden Immortal refer to Celestial Immortals who achieved their path through alternate methods. After Sun Wukong achieved his divine standing, he became a Taiyi Loose Immortal. Sun Wukong couldn’t be bothered to waste words with him. He smiled faintly and said, “You should change your name.” “Impossible.” Sun Shengkong did not hesitate for a moment, flatly refusing.
