He had watched Zhan Li grow up and overcome numerous hurdles to reach his position today. If that calamity on the battlefield had not happened years ago, Zhan Li would not have left the barracks; he would surely have grown to be one of Great Zhou’s most brilliant military talents alongside Yun Canghai.
