The elder from the Hunter Soldier Branch let out a series of agonizing screams.
Beneath him, a large hole had appeared without notice, from which a Centipede Ant General emerged, swallowing the elder whole in one gulp, and after a bout of gulping, blood and fluids spilled all over the ground.
This elder from the Hunter Soldier Branch was a powerful Martial Venerate Level warrior, yet he had no strength to fend off the Centipede Ant General.
After swallowing a person, the body of the Centipede Ant General visibly grew an inch larger at a speed visible to the naked eye, looking even more ferocious.
"Not good, this Demon Beast can increase its cultivation by devouring people, disperse immediately," upon the elder’s death from the Hunter Soldier Branch, chaos ensued throughout the city, like a dragon without a head. Seeing nobody taking charge, Feng Kuo immediately directed the Mages and Martial Artists into two groups.
One group consisted of Martial Master Level and below warriors, specifically assigned to hack down the Beast Ants attacking from the ground, while Mages below Great Magic Director Level formed another group, using Magic to kill the Flying Ants in the sky.
Those warriors above Martial Master Level and Mages above Great Magic Director Level also quickly assembled together, forming a circular human wall, surrounding the Centipede Ant General layer by layer.
Countless Magics and Combat Skills rained down like a torrential downpour on the Centipede Ant General.
The Ant General, as cunning as if it had human intelligence, dodged into the underground.
Everyone’s expression turned solemn, guarding every inch of the ground beneath their feet, as no one knew from which corner the Centipede Ant General might suddenly emerge the next second.
Feng Kuo’s eyes widened with anger, and suddenly he felt something strange moving beneath his feet. His Magic Wand forcefully stabbed into the ground, followed by a series of insect-like buzzing sounds, the ground churning as the Centipede Ant General, with a dented carapace, roared angrily.
A Commander-level Demon Beast General, with its powerful ant body, burst out of the ground, and the 2-meter-tall Feng Kuo was sent flying by the impact.
Seeing Feng Kuo struck aside, the Centipede Ant General, waving its antennae, as thick as rough whips, swept away the approaching Wenren Xu and Mu Nanyan, while spitting out a mass of green liquid from its mouth.
No sooner had the green liquid touched Feng Kuo’s hands than he felt his armor dissolving instantly, with his skin underneath scalded by a burning sensation.
At this critical moment, suddenly a series of rumbling sounds came from the sky.
As if sensing something, the previously malevolent Centipede Ant General stopped its evil acts, its body now enveloped by a Summoning Array.
An unfamiliar old wizard appeared in mid-air, floating. Some noticed that behind the exaggeratedly large Magic Robe, there was a pair of flapping wings.
"Bastard, you snuck out while the old one wasn’t watching. Luckily, you haven’t made a grave mistake yet," trapped within the Summoning Array, the Centipede Ant General struggled for a bit, but was quickly retracted into the Magic Space.
As soon as the Centipede Ant General was subdued, the Beast Ants and Flying Ants orderly retreated from Daoye Mountain Guard City.
This scene appeared rather eerie.
Feng Kuo and the other Hunter Soldiers stood there stunned, and it took a while for Feng Kuo to regain his senses. He then paid his respects to the old wizard in the sky, "Respected Summoner, thank you for saving Daoye Mountain Guard City from the crisis. May I ask for your esteemed name? Today’s event will be reported to the Emperor of Great Zhou, who will personally express gratitude."
To be able to fly, that must be at least a Sky Level Mage, and to be able to capture a Commander-level Demon Beast Centipede Ant General with a single move, that must be at least a Summoning Emperor Level Summoner.
Such a high-ranking personage could only be invited by the Great Zhou Imperial Family, yet he appeared in such a remote area as Daoye Mountain Guard City. Could it be that the Great Zhou Imperial Family sent him here?
However, the Beast Tide had only occurred overnight, and news could not have been sent back to Yujing yet.
"No need, the old one merely acted on someone’s request. If you truly wish to express gratitude, go thank my disciple Yanyun. If not for her repeated pleas, the old one would not have intervened," the old summoner said, then retracted his slightly withered hand back under his Magic Robe.
The wings behind him fluttered, and he had already disappeared into the sky.
"This old man, he’s actually Yun Sheng’s mentor!" Huangteng and his two companions were dumbfounded. This incredibly powerful Summoner was called upon by Little Sheng’er?
Goodness, that girl actually knows such a formidable Summoner. No wonder her Summoned Beast is so exceptional. In a short period, Yanyun’s reputation spread throughout Daoye Mountain, further elevating the infamy of Bloody Lolita.
Once the Beast Tide receded, Daoye Mountain immediately started bustling with reconstruction and burial arrangements.
Utilizing the Summoning Demon Hand to barely recapture the Centipede Ant General, Yun Sheng also considered herself extremely lucky.
She promptly dispelled the Disguise Magic, wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, and let out a sigh of relief.
Disguising herself as an unfathomably powerful old summoner was a plan she had designed long ago.
After becoming famous from her battle at Daoye Mountain Guard City, even though Huangteng’s trio tried to cover it up, once they returned to Yujing, anyone with a keen interest would definitely suspect her.
Right now, she was just an orphan girl without any backing, but after today, she would gain a mentor of Summoning Emperor Level standing behind her.
As the saying goes, it’s comfortable to enjoy the shade under a big tree. Henceforth, even if someone wanted to target her, they would have to think twice because of the mentor figure behind her, which was also one of Yun Sheng’s self-preservation strategies.
All this, she owed to the recently acquired Eight Desolate Divine Artifact, Summoning Demon Hand.
The first use of the Summoning Demon Hand had surprised Yun Sheng considerably.
She hadn’t expected that just once, she would subdue a Commander-level Centipede Ant General. It was clear, as the legends stated, that the Summoning Demon Hand indeed possessed the ability of a legendary Summoner.
The greatest use of the Summoning Demon Hand was to form a Beast Space. Through this space, Yun Sheng could restrain and subjugate Demon Beasts.
Unfortunately, with Yun Sheng’s current strength, she could only create a Beast Space once a month at most, and maintaining this Beast Space required her to expend a significant amount of physical energy.
After using the Summoning Demon Hand, Yun Sheng was nearly drained of her strength. Thankfully, she had Bobbie with her and was able to slip away smoothly.
After regulating her breathing for a moment, Yun Sheng released the Beast Space.
Inside the Beast Space, the Centipede Ant General was curled up obediently, not moving an inch.
The Beast Language Ring in Yun Sheng’s hand lit up, and she attempted to contract with the Centipede Ant General before her. In the past, Yun Sheng would never dare to do this, but this Beast Space was created by the Summoning Demon Hand, and the Centipede Ant General had already been subdued by the formidable summoning power of the very first Red Robe Summoning Emperor.
What Yun Sheng needed to do now was nothing more than to tame and contract it.
Piercing her finger, her crimson blood merged into the Magic Space, and in a while, the Centipede Ant General was successfully contracted.
Just when Yun Sheng was about to communicate with the Centipede Ant General, she suddenly felt an array of light burst forth from her Five-colored Magic Soul inside her, and the Magic Elements in her body became active.
She was about to have a breakthrough.
Yun Sheng immediately sat down cross-legged and fell into a state of deep meditation.
