The Moyu box, covered in dust, seemed to have been buried underground for many years.
Moyu, being a variety of precious magic crystal stone, was often used to preserve precious items, safeguarding their magical attributes or the efficacy of their potions.
This piece of Moyu, completely cut and still exuding a trace of coldness from its surface, appeared very precious.
Because the Nameless Mage was found sitting underneath it, on Wuji Continent, desecrating the corpse of a mage might very well bring about a magical curse. This was also the reason those tomb raiders did not dare to move the remains of the mage.
If it were not for Yun Sheng’s intent to properly bury the Nameless Mage, she might never have discovered this box made of Moyu.
The Moyu box still retained some traces of a magic array, but due to the passage of time, the magic array had become ineffective.
Bracing herself, Yun Sheng opened the box.
What is this?
Even Yun Sheng, upon opening the box and seeing the contents inside, involuntarily shuddered, almost letting the box slip from her hands. However, a moment later, an image appeared in Yun Sheng’s mind.
On an endless wilderness, a Red Robed Summoner raised his right hand, and instantly, angry dragons roared in the sky and numerous phoenixes approached; a vast army of demon beasts covered the skies, their roars changing the color of the heavens and the earth.
The illusion vanished, and Yun Sheng’s gaze stayed on the now-open box.
Inside the box was actually a hand.
To be precise, a dried right hand.
Shrunk and resembling chicken skin, its flesh had long since dried up, resembling an eagle’s claw.
Though it had long been dried to the point where only skin and bones remained, from Yun Sheng’s professional perspective as a doctor, the hand was exceptionally well-preserved, even the pores on the hand were clearly visible. On the middle finger of this hand, there was a large, square-shaped summoning ring.
As a summoner, Yun Sheng could not overlook this ring.
From a Beast Language User to a War Beast Summoner, all the way to the symbol of the highest level of a summoner, the Red Ruby Imperial Ring unique to the incomparable existence of the Red Robe Summoning Emperor.
The hand trembled uncontrollably, and Yun Sheng’s heart beat fiercely; holding the Moyu box felt as if it weighed a thousand pounds.
Master Mei Li’s words still echoed in her ears.
Eight Desolate Divine Artifacts...
Little did she expect that this inconspicuous tomb raider’s cave was hiding a Divine Artifact that all summoners in the world crazed for - the hand of the first Summon Emperor, the Summoning Demon Hand.
The Summoning Demon Hand, made from the right hand of the legendary first Summon Emperor, possessing it is tantamount to possessing the abilities of a legendary summoner.
Legend had it that this remarkable Summon Emperor once sealed the most powerful demon beasts of the Eight Desolate Main God level.
The Summoning Demon Hand still lay quietly in the box, and it was a mystery why this miraculous demon hand had fallen into this desolate cave.
Yun Sheng took a deep breath, organizing her chaotic thoughts.
In that brief illusion, she also learned that the Summoning Demon Beast possessed incredible summoning power; with it, one could contract or subjugate demon beasts far surpassing the summoner’s own level.
"Truly, heaven helps me; I was just worrying over how to eliminate the White-footed Beast Ant General, now with this demon hand, the problem is as good as solved," Yun Sheng no longer hesitated, she stored the Moyu box back into the Beast Language Ring and then left the secret cave.
To prevent tomb raiders from disturbing this cave again, Yun Sheng, before leaving, used the Earth Spur to completely collapse the cave, ensuring that no one will ever discover that a legendary Nameless Mage once frequented this place.
After meditating for a while, when leaving the cave, Yun Sheng immediately used Disguise Magic to conceal her true face.
This time, she disguised herself as an elderly person using magic.
After fusing with Bobbie once again, Yun Sheng flew towards Daoye Mountain City.
Daoye Mountain Guard City was already besieged by a Beast Tide, with troops closing in on the city.
Tens of thousands of Beast Ants, along with the formidable Commander-level Centipede Ant General, surrounded the outer perimeter of Daoye Mountain tightly.
The vast ground was covered with various densely packed Beast Ants, as Flying Ants rushed to be the first to climb the city walls and launched one attack after another against the Guard City.
The Hunter Soldier Branch deployed a large number of people, with Mages using Fire Element and Water Magic, and Martial Artists working together to slay the Beast Ants. However, faced with the endless swarm of ants, human strength was limited.
From day to night, the Hunter Soldiers were exhausted from running about, and some timid citizens, ignoring the arrangements of the Hunter Soldier Alliance, forced their way out of the city. Yet, they had not even left the city gates for 15 minutes before being devoured by the ravenous Beast Ants.
By dawn, outside the city gate, several skeletons had accumulated, including both human and beast bones.
Huangteng’s trio also joined in the battle to defend the Guard City. Seeing the stacked white bones outside the city gate, the trio felt as if they were in a nightmare, without knowing when it would end.
"Boss, Little Sheng’er is still missing," Wenren Xu, wielding his Soft Sword, sliced through a fierce Beast Ant’s body in two.
"The Elf Mage from Xianju said that Little Sheng’er is outside the city and should not be in danger for the time being," Feng Kuo secretly hoped that Yun Sheng had gone far away, as even he was unsure if he could survive to leave Daoye Mountain Guard City this time.
The reputation of the B-level Hunter Soldier Team hadn’t even warmed up yet before they faced possible death under the Beast Tide, frustratingly enough by being surrounded by a group of ants. Feng Kuo roared angrily and swept his legs in a series of movements, shattering a section of the city stone crawling with Beast Ants.
"Boss, take a look at the city gate, what is that?!" Hearing even the typically bold Mu Nanyan’s voice tremble changed Wenren Xu and Feng Kuo’s expression as they both turned towards the direction of the city gate.
Upon seeing it, their faces went pale.
The gates of Daoye Mountain Guard City had been closed since the detection of the Beast Tide.
The city gate itself was made of thousands of pounds of iron water fused with the extremely hard Diamond Sand, making it extremely sturdy and resistant to blades, spears, water, and fire.
Several Defensive Magic Arrays were also placed on the gate, which should have made it as solid as a rock fortress; however, just moments ago, there was an abnormal movement from underground, and an ugly-faced Ant King with hundreds of legs broke through the ground.
It spat venom from its mouth, which landed on the city gate and greatly weakened the Magic Arrays on it.
As the Magic Arrays weakened, the Centipede Ant King led a swarm of Beast Ants and Flying Ants to gnaw at the city gate.
Watching as the sturdy city gate gradually loosened, a hole appeared on it and increasingly enlarged.
"Quick! Defend the gate, if we let the Beast Tide into the city, no one will escape today," the elder of the Hunter Soldier Branch commanded the Hunter Soldiers, who stationed themselves at the city gate waiting to launch their final attack.
The city was in chaos, with frightened merchants and citizens fleeing in all directions, further adding to the chaos inside the city.
"Boom--" With a loud sound, the thousand-pound heavy city gate finally could not withstand the relentless assault of the Beast Tide, and with a thud, the gate collapsed.
Like a tide, the crazy Beast Tide surged into the city.
"Charge! Catch the leader first, kill the Centipede Ant General," the Hunter Soldiers surged forward, but when they looked outside the city gate, there was no sign of the Centipede Ant General.
