As soon as Cheng Bai finished speaking, Yun Sheng and the two others’ expressions changed slightly.
Cheng Bai’s words clearly meant that he would settle accounts after autumn.
The martial artists lying unconscious on the ground were only temporarily knocked out; just a splash of cold water would wake them up.
Cheng Bai was well aware of this.
But the fact that people from Wuxuan Wuji Hall were bullied by an exchange student, put in other words, meant that Wuxuan Wuji Hall was not as good as the Royal Magic Academy, which was the real issue Cheng Bai wanted to address.
"Brother, we had no intention of harming anyone, nor did we know that magic was forbidden within the martial arts hall. When we were reporting in, it was your people who started the altercation," Yun Sheng recognized Cheng Bai.
Last time when Wuxuan Wuji Hall led a group to observe at the Royal Magic Academy, Cheng Bai was among the visitors, and he along with another martial artist were of Martial Venerate or even Martial Arts Sect cultivation, far beyond Qi Bu You’s capability to confront.
"I recognize you. You’re the female Mage who concocted the Advanced Magic Medicine. I don’t engage with women; I’m here for that green-robed kid next to you. It doesn’t matter who started it; what matters is whose territory this is. In Wuxuan Wuji Hall, strength is respected; as long as you are not registered with us, you’re outsiders. Outsiders fighting our people is unacceptable. If you want to join, you must first defeat me," Cheng Bai had noticed Qi Bu You during his time at the Royal Magic Academy.
He picked a fight, firstly out of curiosity about Qi Bu You’s magic and secondly indeed to regain some face for the martial arts hall.
Without further argument, Qi Bu You stepped forward, but was held back by Yun Sheng.
"This is a man’s affair, women should not interfere!" Qi Bu You said coldly, waving his Magic Wand and at once the Magic Python flew towards Cheng Bai with a cluster of purple fog.
"Trivial trick," Cheng Bai laughed gracefully, unafraid of the instantly incapacitating purple fog.
A swirl of fighting spirit rapidly enveloped his body like impenetrable armor, completely blocking the purple fog’s entry.
Once a martial artist cultivates fighting spirit to the Martial Arts Sect level, their control over it greatly enhances, able to instantly cover their body, impervious to blades, spears, and most basic magic attacks.
Cheng Bai leapt up, his heavy punch navigating through the purple fog, his fist fierce like a cannonball.
The Magic Python was instantly torn apart by the punch force.
When the Magic Python was shattered, Qi Bu You’s body shuddered as if hit by a heavy punch, and his chant was immediately interrupted.
Seeing this, Gu Feng quickly began chanting, trying to use the Bright Celestial Sphere to protect Qi Bu You.
Unknown to him, Cheng Bai was already prepared, he laughed loudly: "Kid, don’t underestimate martial artists, your magic is not bad, but it’s too slow!"
Cheng Bai’s figure drifted rapidly, closing in on Gu Feng.
Close combat, particularly disadvantageous for Mages, was proving to be difficult for Gu Feng and Qi Bu You with untimely magic chanting.
"Cheng Bai, don’t push people too far," Cheng Bai’s victory almost secured, the ground beneath him stirred, and several Earth Spurs shot up.
On the field, the only female Mage among the three, Yun Sheng holding her Magic Wand, was quickly chanting a spell, her lips moving rapidly.
Tsk, Cheng Bai smirked, he had overlooked it, thinking she only excelled in Alchemy, but it appeared her magic was also well learned.
Without dodging, Cheng Bai stomped forcefully, grinding the sharp Earth Spurs immediately into powder, "All three of you together, it’s easier for me than dealing with you one by one."
He had barely finished speaking.
A massive Fireball smashed over.
Following Earth Magic immediately with Fire Magic! How quick can you get!
Cheng Bai reacted quickly and jumped aside, landing near the explosion.
In the blaze, he saw the female Mage with a stern face looking at him, smirking.
Looking at her wand again, it was clearly embedded with two Magic Soul Stones.
The Great Magic Director, he distinctly remembered, the last time at the Royal Magic Academy, the opponent was only a Magician. How did they become a Great Magic Director in just a few months?
"I did underestimate you, a dual-element Great Magic Director of Fire and Earth. But even if you are a Great Magic Director, what does it matter unless your magic power is unending? Once your magic power begins to deplete..." Cheng Bai continuously dodged.
His cultivation was truly tested as well; under the influence of Fire and Earth Magic, he could barely manage.
Hearing Cheng Bai’s words, Yun Sheng laughed even more heartily, dimples forming on her cheeks.
Seeing those familiar dimples, Lei Hu among the crowd couldn’t help but feel sorry for Cheng Bai; he had spent some time with Yun Sheng, and whenever Big Sister showed that kind of smile, it meant Brother Cheng was in deep trouble this time.
Next, Yun Sheng’s words nearly made Cheng Bai lose his balance and fall to the ground.
"Qi and Gu Feng, don’t be polite, get in together. Fast-acting Meditation Water, five bottles each, if it’s not enough, ask me for more," she said while distributing five bottles to each of them.
The three moved in unison, opening the bottle caps and downing the Meditation Water in one gulp.
Their manner was resolute and exceptionally bold, yet equally shameless, as if Meditation Water was free.
In fact, this Meditation Water didn’t really cost much.
This kind of Meditation Water made by Yun Sheng after she had advanced to become a Great Magic Director, was much more effective than the ones previously provided to Feng Kuo and others. With one bottle, magic power whizzed back.
The three did not hold back, raising their Magic Wands, numerous small magics flew over swiftly.
Cheng Bai’s complexion turned from red to white, from white to purple, indicating a sight to behold.
He had forgotten that this group of Mages was from the Magic Potion Department, and their Meditation Water was inexhaustible!
Barely setting foot down, the ground erupted with a series of Earth Spurs. Cheng Bai hopped around, just avoiding a fireball, only to face a lethal poison fog next.
His combat skills aimed at the three were all deflected back by Gu Feng’s Bright Celestial Sphere.
The magic never seemed to cease, one after another. Even though Cheng Bai was agile, his physical strength was limited. A moment of negligence, a slight slack, and a fireball scorched the edge of his clothing. Another careless move and his shoe was gashed by an Earth Spur.
The worst was the female Mage’s magic. Her magical chanting seemed to take no time at all; the Earth Spurs roared forth unstoppable.
Cheng Bai dodged all the way, and she pursued him all the way, turning the normally smooth training ground, under continuous Earth Spurs, into a rotten, punctured field.
The Martial Artists originally on the field had to disperse to the sides.
Just as Cheng Bai was increasingly frustrated, a roar of a beast came from somewhere in the Martial Arts Hall.
At that sound, Cheng Bai’s expression drastically changed.
"Enough, stop, I give up," Cheng Bai almost frantically called for a halt.
The Martial Artists from the Outer Hall were all stunned.
Brother Cheng actually had such a day! Normally, when sparring, his method was proper and orthodox, unlike these three trainees from the Magic Potion Department, who played by no rules and even had Meditation Water to cheat with!
"Then may I ask, Brother Cheng, can we proceed with our admission formalities now?" Yun Sheng looked quite pleased as she watched the panting Cheng Bai.
"Let’s talk about admission later. Right now, no one has the mind to care for these matters. All personnel, immediately head to the main entrance," Cheng Bai waved his hand, his expression anxious.
That beastly roar, he heard it very clearly, was none other but the Earth Bear he had brought back earlier with Beiming and Jiuxiao.
The people of Wuxuan Wuji Hall responded with a "Yes!" and, not minding the ruined field, all rushed toward the Martial Arts Hall’s main entrance.
