Chapter 211: Chapter 212: Unknown Island
"Speaking of which, you guys definitely have a Log Pose on you, right?" Nami reached out her hand with a mischievous smile, "Hurry up and hand it over."
Miss Wednesday looked at Mr. 9 for help, the Log Pose was indeed on him.
Feeling the gaze in front of him like wild beasts ready to devour them, Mr. 9’s throat rolled, his whole body trembling.
"Without the Log Pose, we won’t be able to return to town." After struggling for a long time, he turned his face away and said loudly, "No, we can’t hand the Log Pose to you."
Jotaro remained silent.
Although the two guys in front of him had wanted to take the ship by force at the beginning, Jotaro knew they hadn’t reached the point of no return yet.
This could be seen from their method of attack.
They did not aim for others’ vital points.
Also, since they accidentally bumped into them, they also bore some responsibility.
Therefore, Jotaro didn’t want to use forceful means to coerce them.
Letting out a sigh, he stepped forward slightly.
That subtle movement immediately startled the two. Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 were like frightened birds, shuffling their feet backward frantically.
’He can’t be trying to kill us to silence us, right?’
’Mr. 9, let’s just give them the Log Pose.’
The two did not speak, only communicating through eye contact.
"Hey hey, don’t be scared." Jotaro stopped, looking down at the two, and said in a reasonable tone, "Yare yare, dragging you onto the ship, I suppose it was also troubling for you."
"Keeping this standoff going is no solution. I know what you’re worried about."
"Give me the Log Pose, and I’ll send you back."
Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 looked at each other, still not quite believing it.
"You’re not lying to us, are you?"
Jotaro didn’t answer. Star Platinum appeared beside him, instantly untying the two.
The ropes around them mysteriously loosened, and the two were utterly shocked.
Just like earlier, they hadn’t seen anything, yet were tied up by this man.
With such ghost-like ability, killing them would be as easy as flipping a hand.
"I... I understand." Mr. 9 was tactful.
Jotaro could have easily killed them and taken the Log Pose.
Yet he didn’t.
Mr. 9 wasn’t stupid, naturally he would no longer doubt his words.
"Here, this is the Log Pose."
Jotaro took the round object handed to him, glanced at it, then tossed it to Nami.
"We have a mission to complete, so we hope to return to Whiskey Peak as soon as possible." Mr. 9 stated his request.
In their organization, they had to report to their boss regularly, otherwise they would face severe punishment.
Miss Wednesday nodded.
"After we came out, the Log Pose wasn’t affected by any other islands. Now, it should still be pointing toward Whiskey Peak."
"You just need to follow the direction it points to send us back."
Nami fiddled with the Log Pose for a while, her expression becoming a bit unpleasant.
She looked at Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9, coldly saying, "Are you sure you’re not tricking me?"
"Why can’t the Log Pose distinguish direction either?"
Miss Wednesday quickly walked over.
"How could that be! Do you even know how to use it?"
Her gaze fell on the Log Pose in Nami’s hand, and in an instant, cold sweat poured down her back.
"D... done for, the Log Pose is broken!"
She held her head with both hands, squatting on the ground in collapse.
"It must have been broken when it was hit earlier."
"How are we supposed to go back now? The boss will never let us off!"
"The one who should be troubled is me! Why is your reaction even bigger than mine?" Nami put away the broken Log Pose. Although a bit helpless, she felt that Miss Wednesday wasn’t lying.
"Alright, hurry and get up." She comforted, then suddenly asked, "Right, what’s this about your boss?"
Miss Wednesday realized she had misspoken and instantly covered her mouth.
Even though the current situation was bad, Jotaro remained as calm as ever, and did not blame Miss Wednesday or Mr. 9.
He first communicated with Starlight. Seeing her shake her head, he sighed.
As he thought, Sea Kings couldn’t understand human place names, and didn’t know where exactly Whiskey Peak was.
"Nami, just keep sailing in the current direction. There are plenty of islands in the Grand Line. As long as we keep going, we’ll land eventually. We’ll think of something then."
"This is all we can do for now." Nami shrugged.
In truth, she wasn’t very confident, but seeing Jotaro’s completely unbothered look somehow calmed her down.
"What about these two?"
"When we find another Log Pose, we’ll send them back."
Hearing Jotaro’s words, the two nearly wanted to kneel down, extremely touched.
"Your great kindness, we will definitely repay."
———
After a day of sailing in the Grand Line, Nami was completely lost, with no idea where their ship was anymore.
This place was even more dangerous than she imagined. Aside from the Log Pose, nothing else, wind, clouds, waves, or sky, could be trusted.
Thus, she could only pin her hopes on luck, that it would let them land soon.
After another five days, with Starlight’s help, Jotaro and the others finally spotted an island.
Although they didn’t know what island it was, they could only go ashore and take a look now.
"You two, come with me."
Jotaro looked at the dejected Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9, his voice cold and unquestionable.
During this time, he had always been watching the two.
Although they had shown no suspicious behavior, Jotaro hadn’t fully trusted them, and naturally wouldn’t leave them on the ship during an outing.
Aside from Jotaro, the strongest among them now should be Nezuko.
Although Nezuko had turned back into a human, her body retained the power of a demon, and with Haki’s support, her explosive strength could even make Jotaro wary.
However, she still wasn’t the best choice to guard the ship.
Compared to her, Shinobu was more suitable.
Even with Haki making up for it, Shinobu’s strength was slightly inferior to Nezuko’s, but her battle experience and speed were more outstanding, allowing her to handle unexpected situations.
Thus, Jotaro felt more at ease leaving Shinobu on the ship.
The others went ashore with him.
On the island’s surface, a group of people wearing protective suits had already noticed their approach.
"Whitebeard’s men are back again?"
"No, not him. It’s another group. Captain, what should we do now?"
"They’re not Whitebeard, so kill them directly. We must not reveal our location. Otherwise, Lord Caesar will never forgive us."
"Understood, this island will become the grave of this group!"
