The Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu was spiritually connected with Yue Jinghua, and the crisis it currently faced was definitely urgent, instinctively sending out a distress signal to Yue Jinghua.
Yue Jinghua no longer hesitated, her fingertips swiftly forming a Dharma Seal, and a Lifebound Dark Beast Summoning Array slowly arose.
A flash of hexagram light passed, and Yue Jinghua disappeared within the Star Array.
To understand this Dark Beast crisis, we have to go back to a few days ago.
Before Yue Jinghua decided to go into closed-door Alchemy training, following the principle "shared pain is lesser pain," she listened to Qing Pu’s suggestion and dispatched several Summoned Beasts to Yanpo Forest, ten miles away from the outskirts of Polo City.
Yanpo Forest, outside Polo City, is the largest natural primeval forest, having been around for hundreds of years. It is also the place near the Shang Kingdom with the most Middle and Low-level Dark Beasts dwelling.
The training ground that Flash Mink Leopard and Cannibal Green Qingpu headed to earlier is on the outskirts of Yanpo Forest.
This time, the Gold Eater Worm did not cry and throw tantrums on the ground. As a dignified Meat Worm, since the humiliating event in the Imperial Palace (being poked in the chrysanthemum countless times), it resolved to strive hard and determined to become the number one Divine Worm on the continent.
Thus, it didn’t hesitate to lower its plump frame and asked both Lightning Mink and Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu for advice on how to improve its Cultivation.
Little Shanshan and Little Qing were very pure-hearted Dark Beasts. Being of the same master, they shared their cultivation experiences with the Gold Eater Worm without reservation.
Due to the difference in Dark Beast races, Flash Mink Leopard was unable to use the language of the Leopard Clan to answer the Gold-eating Worm’s questions.
It carried Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu in its mouth, letting the Meat Worm cling to its back, and they headed towards Yanpo Forest together.
Upon reaching the forest, Flash Mink Leopard circled around the outskirts until it found a spotted Tree Python residing on a tree.
The Flash Mink Leopard deftly leaped onto the tree, and in an instant, landed next to the Tree Python.
The Tree Python, encountering an assault, raised its head and from its mouth spewed out a burst of dark air.
Flash Mink Leopard curled its body, beautifully glided, and lifted its sharp claws, striking out a blue lightning flash from mid-air.
The claw sliced through the vital seven-inch area of the Tree Python, blood gushing out immediately.
The Leopard Clan naturally relishes in bloodiness; they have the speed of lightning and indestructible sharp claws. As one of its outstanding individuals, Little Shanshan especially utilized its innate talent to its fullest extent, transforming from an ordinary Fourth-level mutant leopard to today’s Fifth-level Lightning Leopard, all through relentless slaughter.
The Meat Worm shivered.
"Eh, I am a peace-loving Divine Worm, slaughter isn’t suitable for me," Gold Eater Worm evidently felt that Little Shanshan’s method of cultivation wasn’t suitable for it; it wriggled its plump worm-body and then turned to ask Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu, "How about you, Little Qing?"
In its view, this palm-sized, green and very adorable Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu surely couldn’t also rely on slaughter to improve its Cultivation.
Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu was Yue Jinghua’s Lifebound Dark Beast, and its connection with Gold Eater Worm and Flash Mink Leopard was like Yue Jinghua herself, which could be communicated through Spiritual Sense.
Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu casually swayed its bright green serrated leaves, a child-like tender voice immediately appearing in Gold Eater Worm’s mind, "Eat!"
Gold Eater Worm’s face lit up with a smile, this suited it perfectly, merely eating to enhance Cultivation was as if made just for it.
"Eat? Eat what? Little Qing, it’s not nice to keep tasty things from me," when it came to eating, the Gold Eater Worm drooled profusely.
Little Qingpu swayed its leaves and wriggled to the still-bleeding Tree Python.
It reached out its delicate leaves, first poking around on the python’s body, and when it found the seven inches where blood flowed, "hiss," the downy hairs suddenly became hard and long, piercing through the Tree Python’s thick skin, deftly scooping out a hot, steaming snake gallbladder.
"Want to eat? I’ll share half with you," Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu even kindly waved the snake gall on its leaves to the Meat Worm.
Looking at the fresh snake gall with its veins still throbbing, Gold Eater Worm’s sesame seed-sized eyes rolled up; with a thud, it fell to the ground, fainting from fright.
Little Shanshan and Little Qing exchanged confused looks. Little Shanshan picked a leaf to cover the Meat Worm and with a flash, it entered the forest beginning a new round of slaughter trials.
Cannibal Xiaoqing Dandelion, however, relied on the mucus from its leaves to absorb and integrate the snake gall.
Next was the snake meat, snake blood; the whole process took only half an hour. After devouring an entire Tree Python, several times larger than itself, the veins on Cannibal Xiaoqing Pu’s body became more pronounced, and bright beautiful patterns appeared on the leaves.
