After getting the Thunder badge from Surge, Gladion had Guy checked up in the Pokemon Centre. After getting healed up and a full check up, Gladion took guy to a nearby isolated area in the forest to test out Guy's new strength after the evolution. 'I need to find a way to use my Psychic Powers to gauge a Pokemon's level or something. It's too hard to gauge a Pokemon's level by just seeing them in reality. Well, Strong Pokemon like Mom's team have an aura that says that 'We are strong as hell and if you get close to us, you would get burned.' Gladion smiled wryly as he thought of his mom's Pokemon especially her grumpy Charizard who tries to act as a king who does not care about the two siblings one bit. But in reality, Gladion knew that he was a big softy who even kept a watch on them from the sky whenever they were off to school. 'I wonder how Chari is doing. And I miss sleeping in Arcanine's soft fur. Maybe I should catch a fuzzy Pokemon next.' Gladion thought before shifting his focus back to Guy. Guy stood expectantly, his four muscular arms trembling with excitement and newfound power. "Let's test your strength," Gladion said as he lifted a large boulder nearly the size of a small car using his Psychic powers. "Catch" He said to guy as he threw the boulder to him Guy's eyes lit up as he shouted [THE POWER OF YOUTH SHALL BE DEMONSTRATED!] Which made Gladion chuckle at his antiques. 'Might Guy would be proud seeing him. Should I have the Guy green jumpsuit made for him as a reward for being so hardworking?' As Gladion imagined Guy in that horror of a jumpsuit, he shivered. 'Maybe some other day.' With all of his hands, Guy caught the boulder. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, with a low grunt that turned into a full-blown battle cry, he began to squeeze. Cracks spider-webbed across the rock's surface. Smaller stones crumbled. The boulder, once solid and imposing, now began to disintegrate under Guy's grip. CRACK! The boulder shattered into dust. Gladion's jaw dropped. 'Damn, That's some strength.' [YOUTH HAS CRUSHED THE STONE OF LIMITATION!] Guy proclaimed, striking a pose with his four arms. Next, they moved to a massive tree. "It seems that your muscles have developed further with the evolution increasing your strength. That means an automatic increase in the strength of your fighting type moves. Now let's test how the strength of your other moves has increased." Gladion said to Guy who now had fire covering one of his hands. Guy's fire punch, now amplified by his evolution, struck the trunk. When the punch landed, it didn't just create a hole - it practically vaporized a section of the tree, leaving a perfect cylindrical cavity. But that was not all as the rest of the tree also started burning prompting Mystique to use water gun to prevent the fire from spreading. The other Pokémon watched in awe at Machoke's strength. Collosus observed with a mix of admiration and burning ambition. 'Soon,' he thought, 'I will be Tyranitar. I will be back as Gladion's ace. The strongest. I may not have battled in gyms yet, but I will be the strongest.' He had waited patiently, training, growing, knowing his moment would come. The evolution to Tyranitar wasn't just a physical transformation - it was a promise of power. He was an Alpha Pokemon and soon he would be the strongest of these weaklings under Gladion. Nyx whispered to Collosus, "Can you imagine being that strong?" "Imagine?" Collosus responded. "I will be stronger than that. It's a fact." Zeus bounced around excitedly. "Did you see that punch? Incredible!" Gladion approached Guy, his expression serious. "Your strength is beyond gym battle levels now. I can't use you in standard challenges anymore. You are too strong for gym battles even for a 9th badge. It would make it too easy and the others would not be able to grow properly." Guy's face fell. Tears welled up in his eyes as he sadly asked [NO MORE SHOWING THE POWER OF YOUTH?"] Gladion quickly clarified, "Nope, You would be my trump card when the championship begins. You would also be responsible for protecting me from wild Pokemon and criminals. With your strength, no one would be able to hurt us with you protecting us. And..." he grinned, "you'll train the younger Pokémon and make them understand the power of Youth. Especially our new Mankey." Guy's tears instantly transformed into tears of joy. [I SHALL MENTOR THE YOUTH! TEACH THEM THE SACRED WAYS OF HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION!] The scene that followed was both heartwarming and absolutely ridiculous. Guy began demonstrating "youth training" to the Mankey, who looked simultaneously terrified and fascinated. [FIRST!] Guy shouted, [ONE THOUSAND PUSH-UPS!"] The Mankey stared, bewildered and looked at Gladion for help who purposely ignored him. Guy demonstrated, using all four arms to push up simultaneously. [WITNESS THE POWER OF YOUTH!] Mankey attempted one push-up and collapsed. [WEAKNESS SHALL NOT DEFEAT YOU!] Guy picked up the Mankey, holding it above his head like a proud parent. [YOU WILL TRAIN! YOU WILL GROW! YOU WILL BECOME THE EMBODIMENT OF FIGHTING TYPE SPIRIT!] Gladion watched, a mixture of pride and second-hand embarrassment washing over him. Collosus approached Gladion as he asked him [When do I get my moment?] "Soon," Gladion whispered. "Your evolution will change everything." The Pupitar's rocky surface seemed to glow with anticipation. The promise of becoming Tyranitar - Gladion's potential ace, a pseudo-legendary Pokémon - was a dream that consumed his every thought. Guy continued his training montage, now incorporating the Mankey into increasingly elaborate and nonsensical exercise routines. Push-ups became four-armed spectacles. Sit-ups transformed into acrobatic displays that defied both logic and physics. [YOUTH HAS NO LIMITS!] Guy proclaimed, the Mankey clinging to him for dear life as Guy was lifting him instead of a dumbbell. Gladion couldn't help but laugh. This Pokémon, born from determination and an inexplicable love for hard work, had become more than just a team member. He was the spirit of the team. As the day wound down, Guy looked at Gladion with tears in his eyes. [I AM READY TO PROTECT! TO MENTOR! TO SHOW THE WORLD THE TRUE MEANING OF YOUTH!] Gladion patted him on one of his four shoulders.
