The crowd still chuckled over Gengar's lick on Mystique. Well, Both Gladion and Mystique now got their lesson to not flirt or use love moves against Ghost types. They show their love very creepily. 'With how big the tounge of an Gengar is, a female Gengar would be a dream of any male pokemon.' Gladion chuckled at that thought The Milotic glistened, her scales marred by ghostly drool, but now she trembled—paralyzed from the move's lingering effect. Gladion's jaw tightened. With Aqua Ring and Recover spent, he had only one recovery trick left up his sleeve for his match. He wished that these move doesn't have such a long cool down period but the world had to nerf him and Mystique somehow. "Mystique, Life Dew!" he called, his tone firm but tinged with exasperation. Mystique glowed, a mist of healing droplets cascading around her. The paralysis faded, her health surging back to prime condition, scales shimmering anew. She flicked her tail, striking a pose as if she'd never been touched. [Back to perfection, you slobbering specter!] she trilled at Gengar, who floated nearby, still giggling with heart-eyes. Gwen groaned, slapping her forehead. 'Are you kidding me? Another recovery move? What is she, a walking Poké Center?' Her mind raced, annoyance bubbling over. 'I swear, Gladion stuffed her full of TMs just to spite me—Life Dew, Recover, Aqua Ring—she's got more comebacks than a bad horror movie!' To be fair, Gladion did not use any of those TMs to make Mystique learn these moves. A Milotic can naturally learn these moves. Not that many would know about it since it was game knowledge. The announcer's voice boomed, dripping with awe "There she goes again, folks—the immortal beauty rises! Mystique's shrugging off Lick like it's nothing—truly a immortal jade beauty ! Did Gladion pluck her from some ancient pond guarded by a thousand-year-old Wailord? She's defying the heavens, one recovery at a time!" The crowd roared with laughter, some mimicking cultivation poses—hands clasped, eyes closed in mock meditation. Gladion snorted, his thoughts veering into absurdity. 'Jade beauty? What's next, calling her a celestial serpent cultivating to ascend? I didn't fish her out of a mystic lake—I just fed her too many vitamins and told her that she was beautiful from the inside! This guy's been reading too many weird novels.' He imagined Mystique in a flowing robe, levitating with a smug grin, and nearly lost it mid-battle. But Gwen and Gengar weren't lounging around sipping tea. While Mystique preened, Gengar's grin turned sinister, its hands crackling with dark energy. It charged a Shadow Ball—not just any Shadow Ball, but a monstrous orb, swelling to the size of a Snorlax. The crowd gasped, the air thickening with ghostly menace. Gladion's eyes widened. 'Holy—' He knew Gwen's Gengar was special—raised by Lady Agatha herself from a newborn Gastly, —but this was nuts. 'That thing's charging a fucking tailed beast bomb! Did Agatha feed it shadow steroids or something?' "Mystique, Surf!" he shouted, urgency lacing his voice. Mystique summoned a towering wave, the water roaring forward. But Gengar's Shadow Ball tore through it like a wrecking ball through wet paper, punching a hole clean through the Surf. The orb slammed into Mystique, exploding in a burst of dark energy. She shrieked, flung backward into a crater, scales dulled and out cold. "Mystique is unable to battle!" the referee called. Gwen pumped a fist, cackling. "That's right, bro—Gengar's the shadow king!" Gladion recalled Mystique, muttering, "Good job, diva—rest up." He grabbed his next Poké Ball, grinning fiercely. "Alright, Guy—time to shine!" Machamp burst onto the field with a battle cry of pure youth, four arms flexing as he roared, [YOUTH] The crowd went wild, leaping to their feet. "Guy's here—it's over now!" a guy bellowed. "Gengar's toast—those fists'll smash it!" a girl cheered. They assumed Gengar was drained after that massive Shadow Ball, its energy spent. But Gwen just smirked, recalling Gengar with a flick of her wrist. "Not today, bro—Misdreavus, you're up!" The Screech Pokémon materialized, its wispy form floating with an eerie hum, red gems glinting like tiny eyes. Another Hoenn native—Gladion's gaze snapped to the VIP box, locking onto Agatha. The old ghost master cackled madly, her laughter echoing over the crowd. "Heh heh heh! Surprised, boy? My little Gwen's got tricks aplenty!" She waved her cane, nearly toppling Bruno beside her, who grumbled, "Watch it, hag—I'm trying to flex here!" Gladion glared, muttering, "Meddling old bat—stuffing Gwen's team with ghost pets. Where's my favoritism, huh?" He imagined Agatha tossing Misdreavus at Gwen like a creepy birthday gift, complete with a bow, and scowled harder. Well, Agatha had given Gwen the location of the Hoeen Ghost Pokémon that she could find in Johto. Borders don't mean shit to Ghost Pokémon. Who would stick to rules after death? Misdreavus twirled, eyeing Guy with a sly giggle. [Ooh, big muscles—what're you gonna do, punch the air 'til I faint from boredom?] Guy flexed harder, biceps bulging. [Youth'll crush your spooky vibes, little wisp!] Gwen's thoughts churned, her smirk hiding strategy. 'Machamp's his ace, alongside Colossus. Misdreavus can't scratch those brutes normally—but I've got my trump card.' She gave Misdreavus a nod and a thumbs-up—the signal. 'Time to play dirty.' "Guy, end this quick—Thunder Punch, Fire Punch combo!" Gladion ordered. Guy charged, two fists sparking with electricity, two blazing with flame. The Thunder Punch struck Misdreavus, followed by a fiery uppercut. The explosion rocked the field, smoke billowing as Misdreavus spiraled upward and crashed, out cold. "Misdreavus is unable to battle!" the announcer roared. "Machamp takes it down in one move—youth triumphs!" The crowd erupted—until Guy swayed, his four arms drooping. With a dramatic groan, he toppled forward, smashing into the dirt face-first, unconscious. Silence fell, then gasps rippled through the stands. The announcer's voice cracked. "W-wait—what?! Machamp's down too! What just happened?!" Gladion's eyes widened, then narrowed as he gritted his teeth. "Destiny Bond," he muttered, the words venomous. Gwen's signal clicked—Misdreavus' only move, a ghostly trap to drag its foe down with it. 'She played me like a fiddle.' Gwen blinked, then cackled. "Oops, did I forget to mention that? Sorry, bro—youth's great 'til it's naptime!" She danced a little jig, sticking out her tongue. Gladion shot back, "Real clever, you ghost-loving gremlin—enjoy it while it lasts, 'cause I'm burying your next pick!"
