The stands exploded again, split loyalties igniting a cacophony. "Gwen! Gwen!" echoed from one side, a gang of kids cackling like Gengars as they waved glow-in-the-dark signs. "She's the shadow queen!" a guy bellowed, only to dodge a playful shove from a Gladion fan. Gladion stepped onto the field from the left, his dark jacket billowing, a cocky smirk plastered on his face. Gwen emerged from the right, her hair wild, eyes glinting with mischief. The announcer looks at the two trainer and with a grin gave his final words before leaving the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves for a clash that'll shake Kanto to its core! This is no ordinary finals—it's a psychic aura trainer versus a ghost aura maestro, a prodigy squaring off against a prodigy, a genius locking horns with another genius! We've got Gladion's youthful Machamp flexing its might against Gwen's scary Gengar lurking in the shadows. It's blood versus blood, sister versus brother—a family feud for the ages! The Vortex legacy hangs in the balance and above that lies Kanto's legacy. Only one will rise as champion. Let the battle begin!" The referee, a stern man with a whistle, positioned himself between them, raising his flags. "This is a 6-on-6 battle!" he barked. "Each trainer is allowed two mid-battle switches. First to knock out all six of their opponent's Pokémon wins. Understood?" The siblings nodded, but before the referee could utter "start," the air shifted. Gladion's eyes narrowed, and a shimmering psychic aura flared around him—violet tendrils of energy coiling like a storm. Across from him, Gwen threw her head back, cackling madly as a spectral grey ghost aura erupted, wisps of ethereal mist swirling around her. The two forces clashed mid-field, a visible ripple of power that sent dust spiraling and the crowd gasping. Gwen locked eyes with Gladion, her grin wicked. "I'm winning this, bro! Grandpa's room—and that Beldum —are mine.Better start packing your bags for second place and decide which Hoeen starter you want!" Gladion's smirk widened, his tone dripping with arrogance. "Oh, Gwen, you delusional little gremlin—Grandpa's room's got my name on it already. Beldum's gonna be my steel sidekick while you're stuck haunting the loser's bracket. Try not to cry too hard when I mop the floor with you!" She snorted, crossing her arms. "Mop the floor? With what, your ego? It's so bloated it'd sink Milotic! I'll have Gengar spook you so bad you'll teleport straight to therapy!" "Please," Gladion shot back, waving a hand dismissively. "Your Gengar's just a floating fart with attitude—I'll have Guy punch it into next week! And my psychic aura's gonna outshine your creepy ghost vibes any day!" Gwen cackled louder, stomping a foot. "Outshine? You're a discount Alakazam—my ghost aura's gonna make you see double! Grandpa's rolling in his grave laughing at your overconfidence!" "He's cheering me on, you spectral squirt!" Gladion retorted, jabbing a finger at her. "I'm the Vortex champ—your little ghost tricks are just parlor games next to my moves!" Their auras pulsed harder, psychic violet clashing on the field. The referee staggered, dropping to his knees under the sheer pressure, his whistle slipping from his grip. "W-what in Arceus's name…" he wheezed, clutching the dirt. High in the VIP box, Professor Oak leaned forward, his eyes wide with fascination. Beside him, the Elite Four watched, their drinks forgotten. "S-tier aura users," Oak marveled, his voice a mix of awe and delight. "Maren really hit the jackpot with these grandkids—psychic and ghost auras at that level? Extraordinary!" Agatha smirked, swirling her tea. "Told you the girl's got it—ghost aura's rare as a shiny Gastly. She's got Maren's grit, too—bet she's hiding some ace." 'I helped her get that ace so she surely has it.' Agatha cackled in her mind. She would love to see the reaction of the others when Gwen releases her trump card for this match after her Gengar. Bruno flexed, grinning. "Nah, Gladion's psychic edge is pure power—Guy's gonna smash through her tricks." "How is that even related to his psychic aura, you brute? You only support him because hrough his Machamp, you see your own team filled with training maniacs." Agatha snorted as she said that. Oak chuckled, scribbling notes. "Both are exceptional—Gladion's psychic control mirrors Sabrina's, but wilder, untamed. Gwen's ghost aura? It's chaotic, almost alive—reminds me of some of the scary tales from the war." Lance finally spoke, his voice low. "They're raw—unpolished diamonds. If they sync those auras with their teams like Sabrina did…" He trailed off, imagining the potential. Blaine snorted, adjusting his sunglasses. "Sync or not, they're loud enough to wake a Snorlax. Let's see if they've got the substance to match the show." The referee, still on his knees, finally recovered, staggering upright. He blew his whistle with a shaky breath. "S-start!" The auras snapped back as Gladion and Gwen reached for their Poké Balls, their rivalry blazing in their eyes. "Let's do this, Hydros!" Gladion shouted, hurling his ball. Blastoise burst forth, cannons gleaming as he landed with a splash, the waterlogged field rippling around him. His shell glistened, a fortress of power ready to blast. Gwen grinned wickedly. "You're up, Bulby!" Her Poké Ball released Venusaur, the massive Grass-Poison titan stomping into place. Its flower bloomed wide, petals vibrant and menacing, roots curling into the water like it owned the terrain. The siblings' first picks faced off, Blastoise's stoic growl meeting Venusaur's rumbling bellow. The stadium held its breath, the finals poised to explode. Meanwhile the announcer continued to do his job from the commentatoy box, his voice thundered post-aura clash. "Did you feel that, folks?! Psychic versus ghost aura—a sibling stare-down for the ages!
