Chapter 133: Animation

Words : 839 Updated : Oct 2nd, 2025
Two troublemakers were blabbering on, leaving the people around them speechless, debating whether they should clap or stay quiet with all the mutual praise going on. "William, that advertisement animation of yours is pretty slick, but that... what was it? Megatron? It's totally out there. Wasn't it supposed to be an energon cube? Why'd it turn into grape juice? If it were vodka, I'd get it; at least the Russians would love it." "Eh, what good is that satisfaction? I can't even export my gaming consoles. If I start doing ads for the Russians, I'd be labeled a traitor. I'm a patriot." "What patriot? What if the Russians use that chip to take over the moon?" "Easy peasy, let them immigrate to the moon!" "But, seriously, that CPU is really trash. No way it could be of any military use. Some folks are just bored stiff." "Sigh, enough of that. How's your animation going? Why not make it in America? A lot of folks are pretty miffed about that!" "Hmph, unless they sell me Disney, I might consider letting Americans handle it in a few years. You don't get it; their current animations are total garbage." Whether he was patriotic or not, from a cost perspective, he certainly wouldn't make it in America. After all, he was a capitalist, not running a charity. The biggest issue was work attitude; the Japanese were known for working tirelessly, often to exhaustion, which was normal for them. ... William White's first animation was Transformers, which wasn't just loved by Americans; the Japanese adored it too. If you think it was entirely made by the Japanese, that's just nonsense. The outline and script were done in America. If you went straight from comic books to shooting, it wouldn't be a flop, but that's about it. William White's animation was different. The story was clearly more tight-knit, and the robot fights were way more intense. As for those irrelevant dialogues, better keep them to a minimum. Thanks to the collaboration on advertisements, Toei Animation's capabilities were promising. And the price? Well, the broadcast rights in Japan could break even; everything else was just profit. As for when it would be finished? That's not easy to answer. Without at least six months, there's no point in worrying over this animation. Plus, rushing it wouldn't make sense. Think about it, if even the Japanese couldn't complete it, producing it in America would be a joke. ... "Suzuki, when can the toy factory in Hong Kong start production?" "Boss, they're training the management, and the earliest will be next March." "Alright, have Fujita find some managers. I'm not worried about their costs, just need to fix the quality issues." "Got it, I understand." After dealing with that group, William White went back to his golf. He decided to find a reliable coach this time; his free-fighting skills were pretty decent, thanks to a good coach. After about an hour of training, William White was worn out, his muscles stiff as rocks. But at least there was visible progress; otherwise, it'd be pretty frustrating. If you were just hanging out in Texas, you might skip golf, but not in Los Angeles. The so-called successful folks here were regulars on the golf course. From a basic standpoint, golf and tennis were both rich folks' sports. Without enough cash, there's no way to cover the costs of the courses. "Hey boss, still struggling with golf? Wanna head out and have some fun?" "I'm done for today, every joint feels like it belongs to someone else." "Why even bother with that stuff? Just say you're an English noble and talk about hunting foxes." "Well, that won't cut it. I can't go into details. Just go have fun, guys. Lately, I've been trailed by reporters." "Alright, you keep it up." Frustrated, William White hung up the phone, remembering his husky still locked up, and had it let out. With this guy around, forget about hitting golf balls; as soon as they were placed, they'd vanish. "Dumb dog, let's go for a run." The freed husky started sprinting around. Seeing the man and his dog from afar, Fulton was quite pleased, though he wondered when the young master would finally get good at golf. When it came to William White's golf skills, it was practically a running joke among the upper circles. Thankfully, not too many said anything since he was so young. If he couldn't play, then so be it. They just wouldn't invite him to games. "What? Building a golf course on Lanai Island? Doesn't he suck at golf?" "Boss, he's probably planning to practice there in secret." "Haha! Really? Is it a big project?" "It's huge, got top-notch designers, definitely not cheap." "Wow, that's quite something!" ***** https://www.patreon.com/Sayonara816.
