"'Rookie'! You follow the rules? You don't cause trouble?"
Ms. Klaibel just laughed out of annoyance.
She had thoroughly investigated the little troubles caused by the other party.
Sneaking into aircrew bases to pick up what others had dropped and starting a bad precedent, oh, and even executing such sly operations; it's just about scouring resources to subsidize household expenses, and now a bunch of honest kids have learned to do it as well.
She hated those who take initiatives on their own and break the rules.
And then there were the drunk night raids on competitors during corporate wars, attacks that even their own people wouldn't expect, let alone the enemy—a sudden assault that reaped greater rewards than several combined previous battles, which in some sense was like slaughtering like a maniac.
Many old hands who had spent years in military service hadn't killed as many as this kid, a recent college graduate whose murderous instincts and viciousness were unprecedented.
Moreover, what was the deal with that F-22?
Where did that "Flying Dragon" tactical armor, produced by the Henghai Tactical Weapons Group, come from?
Since when did military contractors allow possession of such non-standard weapon systems?
"You need evidence to talk, Ms. Klaibel!"
Chen Fei was utterly indifferent like a pig not afraid of boiling water.
"Evidence? Where are your F-22 and 'Flying Dragon' tactical armor?"
Ms. Klaibel was not about to let this youngster off easy. Those two items were brazenly displayed inside the aircrew base, where they could be caught red-handed at any time.
Voices within the Blue Star Global United Defense Committee had already proposed investigating, aiming to deal with Aircrew Base 911 and Jiu Defense, especially since such equipment suddenly appearing in the Xingdu Kush Mountain Area was totally against the rules.
Chen Fei confidently retorted, "If others give it, why shouldn't I accept it?"
"Given? How come I never run into such good luck?"
Ms. Klaibel smirked coldly.
A still-operational F-22 and tactical armor worth over 200 million Star Yuan—are these even items that can casually be exchanged?
"Ha!"
Chen Fei also sneered coldly, ignoring the unfavorable expression about to erupt from the other side, and stubbornly countered.
"If I put out 'half a big kid,' I admit I've lost!"
Blue Star Global United Defense Committee Liaison Manager, Ms. Klaibel: "..."
She had never seen anyone more shameless, even more so than that bastard executive manager from Aircrew Base 909, such absurdity coming from his lips effortlessly.
The F-22 was Old David's lifeline; offending this seemingly powerless old man meant no longer playing around in the pilot circles.
Even the top-tier military contractors wouldn't dare to easily offend Henghai Tactical Weapons, that supplied sovereignty arms. Yet, to not give even 'half a big kid'—If they really dare to give, do you really dare to take?
Clearly, Ms. Klaibel had underestimated how bold the pilot known as "Rookie" could be!
"'Rookie,' let me handle this!"
Chekhov Big Bear, affably patted Chen Fei's shoulder, pulled him aside, then spoke uprightly, "I'm his squadron leader; if there's any issue, come at me. Beautiful lady, I'd like to have a good talk with you about the 'Rookie'; there must be some misunderstanding in this..."
The duty manager at Aircrew Base 911, Mahnam, quickly pulled Chen Fei further away, lowered his voice and said, "Let Chekhov deal with that woman!"
Chekhov was cunning, and Chen Fei was rash; the latter was more likely to offend people, so it was the lesser of two evils.
But it was hardly a few minutes before Ms. Klaibel's face changed, raising her hand.
Slap!
The Big Bear's left cheek bore a red palm print, returning disheveled but triumphantly fingering his cellphone.
"Got the contact number, this spill is worth it!"
"Is--it--true--?---Comrade 'Peanut Butter'!"
"No! Nothing of the sort! Don't listen to the 'Rookie', he's no good!"
Chekhov struggled to squeeze out a smile.
Hisss!
The gauze covering his left face was abruptly yanked off by the short-haired girl, who then smacked him.
Slap!
Big Bear now had a palm print on each cheek, one on either side, finally symmetrical in reality.
Chen Fei immediately felt relieved; the deputy squadron leader did a splendid job!
Whether Squadron Leader Chekhov was wronged, he didn't care at all.
"Hmph!"
Little Chili stomped her foot on Big Dog's Leg's shoe and stormed off indignantly.
"Hey hey, Little Chili, pretty lady, sweetheart, good girl, baby, listen to me, this slap was given by 'Rookie', there was no tough woman, really not!"
The infuriated Big Bear, clutching his foot, hopped on the spot behind the short-haired girl, bellowing so loud that probably half the aircrew base could hear him clearly.
This scene made Chen Fei and the on-duty manager Mahnam exchange glances, seeing the same disbelief on each other's faces.
With a full-blown survival instinct, this humanoid Big Bear incredibly cooked up such a story, really shameless.
Nevertheless, "Devil Pepper" Irinei Rusios kept walking further away without turning back.
"'Rookie', you set me up!"
Big Bear turned around, glaring at Chen Fei, this kid really had the guts, daring to set him up so blatantly.
Chen Fei innocently said, "I didn't lie."
This outrageous truth really set Big Bear up, which was immensely pleasurable.
"I think you're asking for it!"
Maybe because he felt deeply tricked, Chekhov lunged at Chen Fei with his fist as big as a mortar bowl.
"Big Brother Xiao is behind you!"
Chen Fei pointed at Big Bear's back.
"Don't try to trick me!"
Before Chekhov could finish his sentence, a large hand pressed on his shoulder.
"Chekhov, you're asking for it!"
Master Mechanic Big Brother Xiao's voice reached Big Bear's ears.
The later jolted, hurriedly smiling submissively, "Master Mechanic, heh, my skin isn't itchy, you must be mistaken."
"No, you're itchy!"
Xiao Ming expressionlessly tucked Big Bear under his arm and strong-armed him away.
The following scene was somewhat not suitable for children.
"Hey, squadron leader, I didn't lie!"
Chen Fei still used a maddeningly nonchalant tone, shouting distantly in the background.
