Chapter 75: Might As Well Be OP (3) Ravian stared at the blonde-haired man for a moment. "You..." he began. "Are you freaking crazy?" Arthur, who was tying his hair up neatly into a half-up ponytail, flinched at his words. "What?" Ravian looked him straight in the eyes, confused. "What do you mean by ’What weapon’?" He stared at Arthur as if genuinely worried for his mental state. "Please don’t try to act cool when your opponent is holding a damn sword." Arthur clutched his stomach as he burst into laughter. ’He really hasn’t changed one bit.’ He wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. "No, I meant I really don’t have a sword." Ravian hesitated for a moment. "Then are you a mage? If not, how were you able to train all these years without a weapon?" Arthur smiled slyly. "But I awakened two days ago." "Yes, as I thought, you—" Not just Ravian’s eyes, but those of everyone nearby widened. "Come again." Arthur narrowed his eyes, removing his noble coat and folding up the sleeves of the white shirt underneath. "I said I awakened two days ago." As he finished rolling up his sleeve, he smirked. "Plus, I’m both a mage and a knight." ’No way. He’s lying, right?’ Ravian thought, not even bothering to hide his confusion. But the crowd’s response was even more dramatic. Everyone screamed so loudly that Arthur couldn’t make out their words, while Amara gripped her armrest so tightly that cracks began to form on it. Ravian’s surprise melted into a grin. "If what you said is true, then I’ll call you big bro from now on." Arthur returned the grin. "You would’ve called me that either way." Ravian didn’t understand what he meant, but lunged forward anyway, slashing his sword through the air. Arthur’s eyes glowed a pale blend of moonlight grey and icy blue as he activated Ultra Instinct, dodging left just before the blade struck the ice floor, spiderweb-like cracks spreading out on impact. Mid-air, Arthur coated his leg in concentrated force and drove it into Ravian’s submental triangle. Still partially stuck in the ice, Ravian was flung upward from the impact and landed hard on his back. Arthur didn’t give him a second to recover. Icy blue mana cloaked him like a second skin as he brought his leg down toward Ravian’s head. The young swordsman rolled to the side and grabbed his sword, raising it sharply to counter from below. The striking blonde prince stepped on the blade, twisted his body mid-air, and kicked Ravian in the mouth, sending him stumbling back with blood dripping from his lips. "Haa... Haa... Haa. You’re really strong," Ravian said, struggling to balance on one knee with his sword. "Are you sure you just awakened?" Arthur took a calm step forward. "Why would I lie?" Ravian nodded as he rose to his feet. "I can tell you’re not using your authority, so neither will I." He raised his blade with a charismatic smile. "Then let’s fight to the death, big bro." Arthur let out a soft smile, then vanished. "Maybe next time, little bro." Ravian’s eyes widened as a blur appeared in front of him, but he couldn’t stop himself from smiling. Arthur’s foot met Ravian’s temples with the grace of a practiced volley. Then he landed softly as Ravian flew and crashed into a pillar meters away, unconscious. Arthur looked over at his aunt. "Aunt Amara, I know you have no right to revoke the academy pass of someone already enrolled. You just wanted to use that as an excuse to beat the crap out of me, didn’t you?" Amara recoiled slightly on her throne. "No, it was nothing like that, I just—" Arthur cut her off, extending his hand with a gentle smile. "If that’s the case, then can you hand me a pass?" He studied Amara’s panicked expression and added, "You can’t, can you?" Amara’s head dropped in defeat. ’How did someone like him defeat the son of the Duke of the North?’ Before she could admit fault, the black-haired dragon stepped forward. "Her Majesty just wanted to test you," he said with a calculating smirk. "You have to be this strong to get a pass, after all." He stepped down the throne stairs, about to continue, but a sharp voice cut him off. "Oi, do you want to die?" Thyra said, clearly pissed. Selena chimed in, "This matter has nothing to do with you dragons. But if you insert yourself into our family’s business again, I will kill you." The man flinched. "How dare you! I’m the royal adviser to the Queen." Arthur suddenly gasped. "What? The adviser, you say?" The man lifted his chin. "Yes, I’m the—" His voice caught in his throat the moment he grasped the sarcasm behind Arthur’s words. Amara raised her head slightly. "What he meant was..." Arthur didn’t let her finish. "Aunt, it seems you’ve been busy ever since Grandma died." His tone chilled. "Are you planning to sell out our race?" Amara didn’t even know what she was feeling at that moment. There were only five people standing before her, so why did they radiate such overwhelming pressure? Arthur Arcain, once a disgrace to their family, now stood like a different man entirely. Alicia, standing at the center of the spread formation, was her sister, the very one who had never dared to speak back—yet now sounded like a seasoned Queen. Selena and Thyra, positioned closest to her on the left, bore themselves like veterans who had led nations. And finally, the woman standing casually near Alicia, the Princess of the Third Continent. Amara didn’t know why, but she felt an irrational urge to bow and worship her. ’What the hell have they become?’ She swallowed hard, unsure what to say next. "I shall hand over Norma’s pass to you," she managed to say. A young demonic dragon, who bore some resemblance to Selena, burst through a nearby door. "Mother, you can’t." Amara glared at her daughter. "Then can you fight for the pass?" Norma turned to Arthur and trembled under his gaze. Even his playful smile and casual wave sent a chill through her core. "No, Mother," she finally said. Amara paused, then muttered, "I hope that is enough, Sister?" Alicia didn’t say a word. She simply turned away, and her three children, along with Sylvia, followed her out. As she reached the door, she said, "It should be enough." Then added, "For now." ... Arthur let out a tired breath as he sank into the seat of his carriage. Thyra climbed in behind him and began ruffling his hair. "That was awesome, Youngest." Selena followed and gently patted his shoulder. "Big Sis is proud of you." The two stepped aside as Alicia entered and hugged him tightly. "My baby was so manly." Arthur chuckled. "Mom, I can’t breathe." Alicia quickly released him, just as Sylvia stepped into the carriage. She grinned and suddenly squealed. "I was holding myself back so bad in there." She panted slightly. "Arthur, you’re amazing. I love you! I love you!" Then, as if her emotional battery had hit zero, she collapsed onto his laps. Arthur glanced out the window at the massive castle as the carriage started to move. He wasn’t admiring its beauty, but thinking about what lay inside. As a faint smile curled his lips, a loud voice echoed from the northern peak. "Big bro!" Arthur stuck his head out of the carriage to see Ravian chasing after them on a white horse, with Amelia holding his waist. He waved both hands enthusiastically at Arthur, while Amelia shyly leaned out and gave a small wave. ’What the hell is that idiot doing?’ ─── ✦ End of Chapter ✦ ───
