Chapter 71: Gacha From Heaven After seeing his family and hearing the story, Arthur immediately realized how much Sylvia had done for him. She chose to give his family their memories since if things restarted and his mother never heard the prophecy, chances are she would offer him to her family as a sacrifice. Regardless of how she did it, Sylvia had still saved him, and that in and of itself warranted a thank you from him. However, there was one thing that couldn’t change. Sylvia had none—zero—nothing when it came to brain cells. Arthur massaged his temples. "Great goddess Sylvia," he said, trying to hold in his irritation. "Wouldn’t it be easier to just pull out a few good skills, instead of drawing multiple ones in the name of gacha?" Sylvia tilted her head. "But where’s the fun in that?" Arthur felt a nerve throb in his head, then sighed. ’She is helping you, so relax.’ He smiled faintly. "So what am I supposed to do?" Sylvia nodded approvingly. "That’s the spirit, my love." Arthur’s smile twitched. ’I swear I will kill this woman once I get the chance.’ Sylvia swayed side to side, then spun around on one foot as if performing an ancient summoning dance. Then she abruptly froze, making Alicia’s and his sisters’ eyes widen. Sylvia began turning her head in circles like a possessed woman, her hair twirling with the motion. Then— She stopped, her now tangled hair obscuring her face. "I..." she said in a ghostly tone. "Summon you." She paused, then blew the hair out of her eyes and started clapping rhythmically. Her eyes suddenly gleamed blue. Even Arthur was briefly mesmerized by her madness, but he quickly snapped out of it. Sylvia spread her arms dramatically. "Gacha!!!" As if answering her dramatic flair, or perhaps it was always meant to appear—a large spinning wheel materialized in front of her. She nodded behind it and moved to the side, tapping it like a prized item. "Almost all my energy went into summoning this bad boy." Arthur’s family bought her act completely and began applauding, while Arthur just sat there dazed. ’She’s a lot dumber than I thought.’ Sylvia beamed. "So, husband, why don’t you step up and play the ’Which Garment Do You Want to Pull Out’ game with me?" "I think you’re in the wrong genre," Arthur replied flatly. Sylvia nodded. "It is indeed a different genre." She pulled down the neckline of her gown, which already exposed much of her chest. "But don’t you want to see more?" Arthur didn’t flinch. "No. Continue the game." Sylvia clicked her tongue. "I was sure that would work." Arthur stood and moved to the side of the wheel. The main reason he moved was to compose himself. ’Do I have a thing for airheads now?’ His cheeks were slightly flushed, but he took a deep breath and slipped back into a calm expression. ’Yes, she might be cute, but she’s still an idiot,’ he reminded himself. Sylvia watched him, then grinned. She didn’t say a word, which only unsettled Arthur more. ’Why didn’t she say anything?’ his thoughts spiraled. ’Did she find out?’ He shook his head internally. ’No way, right?’ Sylvia closed her eyes and declared, "Ladies and gentlemen, let’s begin the gacha draw." Arthur shook off his thoughts and stood in front of the wheel. Sylvia’s grin faded as she focused. "The rules are simple: you’ll have five pulls and pick three from them." Arthur nodded. ’Since she doesn’t know what I’ll draw, this is probably for the best.’ Sylvia gave him a small smile and raised a clenched fist. "Fighting." Arthur nearly blushed but held it back. Sylvia spun the wheel as fast as she could. Everyone watched in suspense. Click! Click! Click! The wheel finally stopped, and golden sparks burst from the top, revealing writing and an image of the skill he got. --- "Ultimate Pleasurer" Description: No woman can escape your pleasures. --- Alicia, Selena, and Thyra all blushed, while Sylvia’s expression contorted. "You perverted... s** demon!" she shrieked. "So... so you were planning this all along!" Arthur’s eyes widened in disbelief. Sylvia kept going. "You were planning all those things you did with Nathi..." Arthur rushed forward and clamped his hand over her mouth. "Hey, what do you think you’re saying in front of my mom?" he whispered. Sylvia’s eyes spun. ’No. Is this how I lose it... Is this how I lose my first time?’ Arthur could tell Sylvia’s mind had short-circuited. ’For someone who acts so provocative, she’s ridiculously naïve.’ He released her mouth and glared at her. "You’re the one who pulled it out, dummy. Doesn’t that make you the pervert?" Selena sat atop the chair, eyes wide, holding a teacup. "What was she about to say..." She sipped. "I suddenly want to know." Alicia and Thyra nodded in agreement. Arthur looked at them, then back at Sylvia, who had somehow regained her composure. He sighed. "Okay, set it aside." Sylvia’s eyes widened. "You—You’re not discarding it?" ’Why would I throw away such a useful skill?’ he thought—but the burning stares from his family made him reconsider. He clenched his jaw and reluctantly muttered, "Discard." Without hesitation, Sylvia removed the skill and prepared to spin again. She smirked at Arthur and tugged her neckline once more. This time Arthur didn’t react, though he imagined himself banging her head against a wall. ’She’s a beautiful goddess helping me,’ he reminded himself. Sylvia spun the wheel two more times, and the skills it produced were: --- "Godly Pleasure" Description: When in bed, even the gods fear giving their wives to you. You will become the menace of all men. ... "Silver Detector" Description: You can detect anything with a silver color. --- Despite Sylvia’s protests, he chose the first one. ’What the hell would I use a silver detector for? It’s not even limited to real silver.’ Arthur thought, satisfied with his decision. After regaining her composure, Sylvia spun the wheel again. "This time, give me a good one," Arthur muttered under his breath. --- "Completed Ultra Instinct" Description: You are the peak of all beings, and your body can bring out the potential of all creation. Mana, Force, Speed, Agility, Strength, Stamina... Weapon—you are the peak of them all. --- Arthur’s eyes widened. "What?" Sylvia smiled. "Well, I’ll be damned." Arthur nodded. ’I can feel the power of my bloodline.’ He turned to Sylvia, and without him saying a word, she nodded and spun the wheel faster than ever. The wheel began to slow unnaturally until it halted. --- "God—X-rank" Description: You are a God. --- Those were the only words written. No special ability, no effect, just "You are a God." And it was the only skill with a rank, an unknown one at that. Arthur blinked several times, even Sylvia was unsure what he had drawn. Suddenly, she felt her mana drain rapidly and uncontrollably. She forced a smile. "It seems my mom is going to be mad." Arthur briefly glanced at the radiant golden light, then at her. "What the hell did I pull?"
