Chapter 55: Classes The academy buzzed with chatter as students made their way to their classes. It had been a day since Arthur and Nathira’s return to the academy, and after doing it over a hundred times, they were finally able to settle down. Ellie exhaled sharply. ’I did know Senior Anna was strange, but to think she’s a demon.’ Ellie shook her head. Things had come as a shock to her when Nathira and Arthur had told them all about Anna and her scheme. She could see the flicker of sadness in Arthur’s eyes but said nothing. ’Well, he did fall for the wrong person,’ she smirked slyly. ’Hmph, that just means there’s more space for me.’ She glanced from classroom to classroom. Today she only had one class, and since she didn’t have anything else to do, she wanted to attend another class. At first, her habit of attending different classes started back in her local middle school where she was on scholarship. However, even now that Arthur was paying her fees, that habit didn’t vanish. As her gaze swept through the classes, it finally landed on a small classroom—and the person who sat at the center. ’That’s... Art?’ She pressed her book to her chest. ’What’s he doing here?’ She moved a little closer to the class door and looked at the blackboard. On the board read: History Of Nothing. ’It seems it’s a small class.’ Her gaze swept through the seven people seated in the class. ’Many people don’t like history, so it doesn’t come as a surprise.’ She admired Arthur, who was focused on the class. ’Should I sign up for the class too?’ She shook her head. ’No, we’re already a distraction to each other outside of school.’ She turned away from the door. ’I have to prepare for the dungeon raid.’ ------ (Inside the small classroom) 『 #Scenario 48: Learn the secrets of Alica Arcain 』 After Arthur’s overwhelming day with Nathira, the system had generated yet another scenario. The scenario was to find out the secrets of his mother and expand his understanding of what Ayla had told him previously. He doubted his mom had gone around saying it, and his sisters weren’t there through most of the incident, while Nathira had said she forgot. But knowing her, he knew she hadn’t. Rather, it meant it was information that would harm him. Arthur sighed. ’History is still as boring as ever.’ That was why he had signed up for a two-week lecture on history. "Now class, you all know about the ancient Corinth civilization?" the female professor, who looked like she was in her mid-thirties, asked. She continued immediately without waiting for a response. "They were the first humans created on this planet during the reign of the goddess Tessia." Professor Rebecca then waved the wand in her hand, making a projection of a small ancient ruin appear. "Archaeologists found pieces of this ancient civilization in the north, since they shared borders with that ancient civilization. From those pieces, they were able to figure out quite a bit about them..." In Magic Academy’s Genius Scholars, there was little to no information about the ancient civilization since Arthur Arcain’s journey was different from that of the protagonist. Even though Beom-seok knew a lot about the game, since unlike other gamers, he failed many times and saw different routes and bad endings— However, it was precisely because of this that he didn’t know all the hidden lore of the game, because he would only be a fool to chase after more difficult progression when he hadn’t finished the game yet. If a certain race were actually on the third and final continent, then they had something to do with the goddess Sylvia. Because if she was truly as scheming as they said, then she wouldn’t just love the creatures made through the essence of her mother meaninglessly. And since she would know that the other races would soon come to rival the humans whom she had created, she must have formed her own forces. The Corinth civilization—the personal army of the goddess. But why were they in the north? The reason Arthur believed in his theory so much was because it would explain what Nathira was doing in the North, and why the goddess had imprisoned her there instead of in the center of the continent, which was the human territory. That would also explain why fragments of races are found there, and why his grandmother was so obsessed with the goddess. ’Maybe she even saw her,’ he mused. It was definitely a possibility. When an awakened who hadn’t even reached the Elite rank sees a mage at the peak of White Core, then only the gods could tell how they would feel. But if Arthur wanted to pick a word, it would be: Reverence. ’Well, that’s just an assumption though.’ Arthur glanced at the person beside him. ’By the way...’ He turned his head slightly. ’Was Ellie always in this class?’ He didn’t remember her ever saying she was going to sign up for the class.
