Chapter 134: Harem King (1) After the entire goddess and ancient dragon incident, all families headed into the large venue hall. The hall smelled of polished oak and burning candles, mingling with the faint scent of floral perfumes from the gathered women. The chandeliers reflected off the polished floors, creating ripples of golden light across the walls. The first thing Leonardo did was introduce Elizabeth to Cale and Melissa, who were present, along with some of their other family members. Nathira and Sylvia were greeted so many times they lost count, while the rest of the girls bowed so many times it felt like their backs might break. Even Love came after Arthur called her, and for the first time in years, the three remaining members of the royal family had a proper talk. Ellie’s mom, Penelope, kept asking her if she was okay and reminding her she shouldn’t feel pressured about being married to the same man as the person the goddess and the ancient dragon were married to. Arthur, on the other hand, stayed with his mom and sisters. "I feel so sad," Selena muttered, though her expression didn’t change. Thyra clicked her tongue. "So, youngest, when are you coming to marry your big sis?" Arthur took a sip of red wine. "Soon enough." Thyra and Selena stared at him. "What?!" Arthur set down the cup, locking eyes with his mom and sisters. "It’s true that I don’t plan on having any more wives, but that doesn’t mean I’ll sit around and let another man take all three of you." Their cheeks flushed red. Arthur rubbed the back of his neck. "What I mean to say is, you should wait for me. This is our third timeline together, so we’re essentially bound together." He smiled warmly. "Once I’m done with everything I have to do, I’ll give all of you the middle name ’Val,’ that is, if you can handle being my concubines." Alicia cleared her throat. "I guess five or ten years isn’t that long." Selena and Thyra nodded. Thyra looked into his eyes. "But don’t take too long, okay?" Selena agreed. "Family comes first." Arthur smiled. "Yeah, and Mom, five years is too long. I’m not a jerk." Alicia chuckled softly. "Okay, baby... or should I start calling you my husband now?" Arthur cleared his throat, his face slightly red. "Whatever makes you happy." Ding. Ding. The sound of a spoon tapping against a cup rang through the hall as all eyes turned to Eliya, the white-haired elf. In that very hall, not only Arthur’s wives, who now carried the name Val Arcain, but also his concubines, who bore the name Arcain, were gathered. Among them was Eliya, the one calling out the different families that had come, though only a small circle of families was present. There was also Seraph, to whom he had given his name, along with Lysandra and Sarah. And finally, Cecilia, though hers was a special case, as her father used the excuse that she and Ellie were inseparable. ’I guess everyone wanted to be part of the connection.’ And who could blame them? Someone with an SSS-rank talent. At a rank no one could perceive. Strength that could rival even gods. Not just that, but he had the goddess that everyone revered and the daughter of the first dragon as his wives. Even the emperor’s daughter and the daughters of two duke families were his wives. And with Cecilia, who was more of a concubine, he also had ties to the Pope of the Third Continent. Eight wives and eight concubines. . . . Arthur lay on his bed in the northern territory, gazing at the moonlit sky. Comparing it to the moonless sky of the Central made him reflect on just how bizarre the world was. Scattered around his bed, asleep, were his eight wives together with Seraph, his shadow. "Such crazy foreshadowing." He remembered when he thought his bed was big enough for ten people, but never in his wildest dreams did he think it would actually be full. And with all his women at that. The shirtless young man sighed as Seraph rolled onto his arm. After a moment, he smiled. "This isn’t so bad." In two days, he would be heading for Apex. Many more adventures awaited. Many more quests. Plus, there was much to learn in both spellcasting and force mastery. He was already at the peak of all lifeforms, so all he needed to do was focus on controlling his strength. He covered his face with his hand. "The problem is that I’m hard." No one could blame him. Sleeping in the same bed with nine gorgeous women wearing very little was far too tempting. He knew they were his now and that he could do whatever he wanted with them, but that didn’t make it easier; it only made it worse. "Damn it... let’s just sleep." He slid back into bed as Ellie rolled onto his other arm, and Amelia and Sylvia draped themselves across his thighs. "Yeah, no sleeping for me tonight." Just as he closed his eyes, the door opened and more beauties, clad in thin nightgowns, entered. Eliya, Lysandra, Sarah, and the shy Cecilia walked in like they owned the place. Arthur peeked at them, then closed his eyes again. He knew that if he kept staring, he wouldn’t stop until he had his way with all thirteen of them, and after that, he’d do the same with Alicia, Selena, and Thyra. The four girls slipped into bed, and only then did Arthur realize his bed had even more space, though they all stuck close to him anyway. That night, Arthur didn’t sleep a wink until dawn broke over the Northern Territory of the Demonic Dragons. --- A/N: Just a quick reminder, Arthur’s main wives will now go by the name Val Arcain, while his concubines will have Arcain only.
