Soon, an overwhelming amount of pressure was imposed upon Mirelle, forcing her to be in place. As she was stalled by Wesley, the enemies had already closed the distance on Meagan. When Meagan saw the group of people rushing toward her, she didn’t bother to squirm around. "It’s better to die than serve those ugly men." She muttered and closed her eyes, having accepted her inevitable fate. In a sense, she much preferred such an ending over being ravaged and violated daily by the scum merchants. As the situation unfolded, Leonard had to remain still and stay his hand. He couldn’t interfere because he sensed Wesley’s gazes were locked onto him. Wesley only restrained Mirelle and not him because he was the one being tested about whether he truly sought to punish Meagan or was just using an excuse to save her. Having been scrutinized deeply, Leonard was helpless. He couldn’t even count on Jeffrey, who was supposedly the city guard. A guard was meant to maintain order and ensure public safety, but Jeffrey’s eyes seemed to be blind.
