Chapter 37: Playful Act While the two crewmates came to the conclusion that Leonard had enjoyed a warm night with a gorgeous woman, they had no idea the gorgeous woman was on the verge of a mental collapse. "You did that on purpose, didn’t you?" Mirelle released her hand from Leonard’s grip and asked coolly. "Did what on purpose?" In response, he feigned ignorance and flashed a cheeky smile. "Those words that you uttered in front of the crewmates. The lovely fragrance filling up your chamber." "Ah, you mean giving you a newfound status on the ship and making everyone envious of my situation?" "Who wants that kind of newfound status?" Mirelle hissed and clenched her fist. It was one thing to moan for so long, but another thing when she realized her moaning was unheard by anyone. Hence, she had thought she wouldn’t need to lower herself to pretend to be his lover anymore. Yet who could have imagined Leonard still went on to provoke others into mistaking her identity and status? Given that Mirelle didn’t exactly hail from Valdoria Continent, it was obvious that these crewmates didn’t recognize her appearance. Moreover, the news of Leonard hiring her as a magic tutor was still a secret. To summarize, to the crewmates on the ship, Mirelle was just a pretty face whose duty was to make Leonard happy. And now that Leonard had essentially confirmed the truth by subtly dropping the hints to the two crewmates, it wouldn’t be long till the whole ship learned of their night activity. "Shh, you shouldn’t behave so unruly." Leonard suddenly placed his finger on her mouth. He then leaned in and whispered, "Remember, assuming the role of a woman of pleasure is better than a woman of strength to ensure the enemy stays careless." Upon hearing that, Mirelle knew that she had to continue the play. Otherwise, everything they just did would be futile. "You’re so naughty, Crown Prince." Putting up a coy expression, Mirelle lightly hit his chest. "You just made me exhausted and you want to go again?" "Oh, why not?" Laughing loudly, Leonard waved his hands to dismiss the nearby crewmates who were trying to greet him. "You said you were exhausted and wanted to explore the ship’s interior so I granted your request. I deserve some compensation later on, right?" "But we barely explored much when you wanted to do it again." Annoyed, Mirelle blamed him for being so hasty. "Anyway, you said this ship is powered with good fuel and that it can travel the whole Valdoria Continent for our leisure. I don’t believe you one bit." "You don’t believe me?" Leonard chuckled and exclaimed, "Then let me show you the fuel room and see if I was lying. I meant it when I said we can travel around the continent while making love each night." After Leonard’s declaration, the duo soon made their way toward the fueling room. And to maintain his public ignorance of the ship’s layout, Leonard pointed at one of the crewmates to guide him. Needless to say, this crewmate was purposely chosen, granted he was the one with the keys and someone he had spied on earlier, Kent. Kent just happened to finish his inspection of the storage compartment when he stumbled across the crown prince. He couldn’t have expected to be chosen by the crown prince as a guide. "The fueling room is right this way, Crown Prince," Kent said respectfully and turned to the right corner. Along the way, the nearby crewmates were stupefied by Leonard’s presence. It was nighttime and lights were being illuminated all across the ship. Even then, visibility was quite low and it was usually the time when crewmates must stay vigilant. After all, many things could happen during nighttime as opposed to daytime. To witness the crown prince coming out of his safe chamber was a shocker to many crewmates. They worried that Leonard might come into any harm and then their life would be facing the guillotine. Anyone on the ship could die or be injured except for the crown prince. Therefore, Kent was very careful and made sure to instruct every crewmate he came across to stay alert and secure the perimeter. Sometime later, they arrived at the location and Kent quickly said. "Let me open the fueling room for you." As a clicking sound was heard, Kent proceeded to open the door for them. "Good, wait outside," Leonard commanded and held Mirelle’s hand to enter the fueling room. Mirelle played her role perfectly as she embraced Leonard warmly while giving a side glance at Kent. Knowing that Mirelle was probably the crown prince’s woman, Kent dared not harbor any negative thoughts despite being given a side glance. He kept his head low and retreated to the side as commanded. Soon, the duo entered and closed the door effectively. Almost immediately, Mirelle pulled away from Leonard and spread her mana all across the room. "Hmph, you owe me big time for this." She hissed coldly. To play the role of a woman of pleasure, she had truly gone all out to make it believable. "Rest assured, those commoners that you hoped to gain equality in the academy would receive them." Leonard casually responded. He knew exactly what she wanted, so he didn’t bother to haggle with her. Instead, he swiftly pointed at the damaged tube and the foul stench that affected his nose almost in the blink of an eye. "You smelled that, right?" He covered his nose and said in disgust. The pungent smell seemed to have increased since he had left. However, to his astonishment, Mirelle furrowed her brows and frowned deeply. "Are you sure it’s not you having a problem instead of the inspection crews?" She turned to him and asked seriously. "There’s no foul stench or any damaged tube in the fueling room." She continued, having spread her mana to inspect everything, only to end up having zero findings. "Impossible!" Leonard swiftly retorted and approached the damaged tube. "Can’t you see this small cut that’s leaking out some gas?"
